Sebastian jolted back as he was smacked in the face with a plant and rubbed where it had been hit. "Oh please no. Why. Why are you attacking me?" He asked. Everest hissed and went to jump down before Sebby grabbed her and hugged her close. "Ok. The wild duck pokemon. Uhm. I really don't wanna fight you. And Everest you'd lose I'm sorry girl... I-I'm just gonna...." He took a step back. Took a quick glance around at his surroundings, then ran along the land as best he could to get distance so he could get away. He really didn't wanna fight something without healing up Everest first. Not something that was actually kinda strong. Wurmple weren't that strong, although this one sure did seem tough. But this one might be a bit much for his Everest.

"Fetcccch?" The Farfetch'd stared after Sebastian, surprised and disappointed to watch him flee. After a moment's consideration, it twirled its leek and turned away with a derisive "Farfetch," choosing not to give chase. It disappeared back into the undergrowth. Sebastian made it back out into a more open area, finding himself on a sandy berm between reed-edged lakes. He could hear Pokemon moving around in the reeds and the water; a Quagsire floated past on the open water, though took no notice of Sebastian and was too far out for him to engage. Sebastian had a moment to breathe -- and to heal up Everest, if he chose.
OOC: Sebastian successfully escaped the Farfetch'd! You have 4/5 Pokeballs. You have 1/1 out-of-battle heal left. This is encounter 2/3. Capture on!

Sebby took a few heavy breaths before he gave Everest an apologetic look. "I'm sorry Everest, but it would've been a rough fight and I don't think we'd win. And I don't want you to get too hurt. Here, let me heal you up and then we can get moving again." He soothed. She huffed and crossed her arms, but allowed him to use a potion to tend to her bruises. After he'd finished he smiled nervously and let her climb back up to his shoulder. "I'm sorry. We'll fight the next one, ok?" He asked. She huffed in upset.

With Everest healed up, Sebastian and his Sneasel could continue their journey into the wetlands. They walked for a little while, but when they passed into another copse of trees, they found a Pokemon standing in front of them, squarely blocking their path -- unless they wanted to try to wade in the murky water that flowed under the trees to either side. "Dot." The Seedot looked at them with great determination. It clearly did not intend to move out of the way -- it was prepared to defend its home from whatever threat these two stranger creatures might present. "Dot dot."
OOC: Sebastian used a Potion, healing Everest for +20 HP. She is now at 13/13 HP. A wild Seedot appeared! Since Sneasel's Speed is higher than Seedot's, Everest goes first (and Sebastian can attempt a non-battle capture if he wishes). Seedot // Level 3 // male Max HP | Attack | Defense | Speed | 8 | 7 | 8 | 6 |
Ability: Early Bird - When Seedot is asleep, it flips two coins at the end of every turn; if either coin is heads, it wakes up. Held item: none Moves: Harden, Tackle, Absorb You have 4/5 Pokeballs. You have 0/1 out-of-battle heal left. This is encounter 3/3. Capture on!

OOC:
Sebby uses Be friendly to it !
Sebastian paused to look down at this little Seedot. "huh... Acorn pokemon. Hi little guy." He said as he half-knelt to get a better look at it. The Sneasel looked like she wanted to attack, and Sebby pet her. "Shh Everest. Look, he hasn't attacked us immediately. Let's see if we can make friends." He said, putting her down behind him. She grumped behind him and crossed her arms.
"I'm sorry if we disturbed you little Seedot, we didn't mean to. We're just passing through the area. Is this where you live? It's really lively now that you and all the other pokemon are here again. Would you mind if I took a look at you, I've never gotten to see a Seedot before except in books. I promise not to hurt you. Here maybe you'd like some food? All I have is some algae, but it's not that bad. I've eaten it my entire life. Wait, no Seedot don't eat they absorb nutrients. Either way this is the first time I've gotten close enough to a wild pokemon besides that Wurmple and the Farfetch'd. Although that one tried to fight me..." He mused aloud, before he offered the Seedot a pokeball to investigate.
"You've probably never seen a human before just like I've never seen you little guy. So you've probably never seen a pokeball either. This is what trainers use to bring their friends with them. We protect them and they protect us. And we're making new friends along the way... hopefully. Maybe you'd like to come with and see more of the world with us? You'd get to meet other pokemon too, and not have to worry about what'll happen if you faint." He asked almost. Maybe... It'd wanna come with? He didn't know, but he might as well try. He wouldn't be too beat up if it didn't, it was still a cool thing to meet. So he reached out gently with the ball after the pokemon investigated it and booped it gently with the button.

The Seedot paused, considering Sebastian's words carefully. It had expected an attack, and it seemed a little confused to be spoken to instead, but it didn't try to strike first. It even let Sebastian approach slowly, though it shied back a couple times. But as long as he stopped and let it get comfortable again, it would allow him to come closer ... When he booped it with the ball, the ball opened, gently enveloping the Seedot in light. The Pokemon vanished into the ball, which shook once, twice, three times ... And popped open again. "Seeeeee-dot!"
Immediately on reforming, the Seedot turned tail and dashed back into the trees, quickly vanishing between them. Nice try, Sebastian, but no dice.
OOC: The wild Seedot fled! That was encounter 3/3! Your wild encounter thread is now over. Please make one last post wrapping up the thread. Include "||FINISHED||" at the end of this post so that the thread can be archived. Capture on!

Sebastian watched it run off with a sigh. Everest behind him was laughing at him. "Oh hush you, I had to try." She laughed harder and climbed up to sit on his shoulder. "It's fine. Let's get out of here. We still have some time left in the day." He stood up and started walking again. He was kinda getting sick of being in cold, sometimes deep water. He wanted to get his new Wurmple healed up and then settle down someplace dry for some lunch maybe. "You hungry? I'm kinda hungry... Yeah I can't wait until we have actual food instead of this algae." He sighed, but then smiled. He was determined to enjoy the scenery until they were out of the swamps. It'd be nice.
