Sai winced in sympathy as they watched the Houndour take the shot of dirt to the gut, having had the wind knocked out of them more than once whenever Silver would have a little tantrum. They know they had to, pun intended, steel themselves though. They were close to winning this, and winning their Pokemon, and, to a less important extent, themself, a good meal.
"Alright Silver, time to bring it home bud." They said sternly, trying to keep their voice from shaking, being far more nervous than they thought they would be. Silver had skid to a halt from their latest assault on Elegy, and was panting hard as he stood before Sai, kicking his back feet back as he steadied himself.
"Now!"
Was all Sai said, as Silver took off, almost seeming, rather comically, to run in place for a moment, before launching himself at his opponent. Right at the last moment, before he connected, he jumped up, tucking his head for maximum damage as he slammed into Elegy with a Tackle. He'd hopped this would be enough, he was getting pretty tired, and not to mention hungry.

Farrah didn’t have a lot to add to the battle at this point. Elegy looked like he was on his last legs as it were, and she didn’t think it smart to try to tell him to keep pushing through when he was close to fainting. Instead, she nodded as Sai began the command for the attack. “Good boy, Elegy,” she said.
The Houndour nodded and growled under his breath as he braced himself, feet threatening to give out. He was so tired. Breath came in tired pants as he held himself up though, defiantly. But the exhaustion meant he couldn’t move, and so he warily watched as Silver came his way.
The tackle was a solid hit - with a huff of breath, Elegy staggered over from the Aron slamming into his side dead-on, before tripping over his feet and collapsing. He did not get back up - entirely unconscious with a little huff of air. “That’s match,” Farrah said, holding up Elegy’s ball. “Return. You did an excellent job, kiddo.”
As Elegy returned to his pokeball, Farrah’s neutral expression melted into a bright smile as she walked across the stage - pausing to pat Silver on the head in congratulations - to hold her hand out to Sai for a congratulatory handshake. “That’s a win for you and Silver! Congratulations Sai. That was an excellent match. I had a lot of fun and I’m sure Elegy would agree.”
OOC: Aron uses Tackle and does 3 damage. Houndour is at 0/15 HP and faints! Silver and Sai are the winners of this battle!

Sai watched as Silver, who was on unsteady nubs, finally collapsed onto his belly, panting hard. His big blue eyes were closed as he finally relaxed, not even stirring as he received a congratulatory head pat, though he did give a quiet, 'Ronn'.
Sais eyes snapped up from watching Silver, as Farrah approached. They briefly panicked, illogically worried that they'd upset Farrah, before blinking as she held out her hand. Sai wasn't much for touch, though they couldn't pinpoint why, but not wanting to be rude, Sai extended their hand, shaking Farrah's just a bit robotically.
"Ah...thank you, hopefully Elegy is alright. I know how much those tackles can hurt." They said, walking over to Silver, and scooping him up. "Thank you though, both of you, for the battle. It was fun." They said with a small smile.

Farrah noted the stiffness of the handshake and made a little internal note of it. She didn’t let it drag on, letting go fairly quickly before simply folding her hands behind her back and smiling. “Oh, he’ll be alright. A quick trip to the Pokemon Center and a bath and he’ll be as good as new and full of energy. Lil’ fella’s taken Rock Throws to the skull and come back swingin’, he’ll be alright.”
She’d been a little worried about the aforementioned rocks when that battle happened, but had learned very quickly that Pokemon were absurdly resilient. It seemed that nothing could down them, given enough time and determination. It was incredibly impressive. “And thank you as well,” Farrah grinned crookedly. “I only look forward more now, to seeing how you grow as a trainer. Shall I walk you in? Dinner’s on the bistro, of course. The bar has your prize, though. For you and your partner; we’ve got a few different styles of boots for different types of Pokemon, since they aren’t a one-body-fits-all type.”

Sai went to speak, before turning bright red, up to the tips of their ears as their stomach seemed to respond for them. Thinking on it, they couldn't actually remember the last time they'd eaten, having split the last of their ration up for Silver, since he couldn't hibernate into stasis in a pokeball.
"A-ah...that...ah" They paused, clearing their throat, "that would be nice I think..." They trailed off, casting a glance to the bistro, trying to not let their dread show about entering the building that had been rather crowded before. Their still red ears twitched at the mention of the boots, specifically the ones for pokemon, and they couldn't suppress a small snort at the idea of trying to fit shoes into Silvers little nubby legs. Clearing the rather hilarious mental image from their head, they nodded again, head jerking a bit towards the building, "Lead the way."

Farrah bit back the chuckle that threatened to come out at the growl of Sai’s stomach. Time for dinner certainly indeed! She couldn’t judge that though. She didn’t really remember if she’d eaten lunch or not herself. More coffee, yes… maybe she’d had a wrap or a sandwich or something?
She tilted her head at the seeming hesitance Sai had towards going in. Was it discomfort at the surroundings? Being inside? Well, fair enough if it was. It was a lovely evening. “If you want, you and your team can enjoy dinner out here on the terrace. There might be another battle going on soon, but it’s pretty relaxed, and the field needs cleaning anyway as it does after all battles. Would be a shame to waste such wonderful weather and music, no?”
At that, Farrah went ahead and entered the bistro proper again, immediately making her way over to the bar with a wave to the fellow behind it. “We’ve got another winner on our hands here! Lil fella for the boots as you can see.” The barista nodded, picking up a menu from under the shelf to set in front of Sai as they approached. He took one long look at Silver before nodding again.
“Just a moment, and we’ll have your footwear to you! Ah, what size shoe do you wear as well, for your own boots?” The barista asked, pausing as they reached the door to the back and looking over at Sai. “Want to make sure they’re a comfortable fit of course.”

Sai visibly relaxed at the out they were given, adjusting Silver in their arms as they nodded. "That...sounds nice yeah..." Before sticking close to Farrah as they followed her inside. Sai felt their body tense at being back around people they didn't know. They were carefully cataloguing possible exits, as well as trying to mentally assess any threats when their ears twitched again, realizing they were being spoken to.
"Uhhhh..." Was their stellar response, having completely missed the question. Their eyes darted from Farrah to the barista a few times, before down at the menu, feeling their face heat again.
"I uh...what? Sorry I uh...what?" They stammered again, before their brain seemed to catch up, and relayed the question with a bit of clarity. Snapping their head up back to the barista, Sai nodded, "Oh! Right, right, right, uhhh..." Before looking down at their shoes that had definitely seen better days.
"S....seven? Maybe eight, I don't uh, I don't really know." They said with a wheeze, trying to not look as embarrassed as they felt.

The barista glances over Sai one more time before smiling brightly. "Can do! That's not a problem at all." They nod decisively, before disappearing into the back room to get the proper footwear worthy of the winner and their Aron companion!
Farrah's expression on the other hand is gentle. She understands the feeling of being overwhelmed, of being put on the spot. But there's no need to call attention to discomfort, as that will only make it worse. So instead, she looks down at the menu next to Sai and hums in thought. "All these new recipes beginning to come out with berries making a reappearance with Pokemon, so many new things to try all the time... I dunno 'bout you, but I like spicy things, myself. Think I might try that new mushroom curry. Heard it's got I think... Tamato Berries in it or somethin'? A kick, at least."
She grins when her own stomach growls. "Don't think I've eaten much today either, whoops. Just like... an ungodly amount of caffeine. But we're here now and have the opportunity for it, so it's all good."

Sai blows out a breath they didn't realize they'd been holding, before turning and looking back to Farrah as she spoke. Spicy foods wasn't something they'd ever really dealt with before, not having been very picky (or having had the ability to be) growing up. Sai looks down at the menu, squinting as they focus on making sure the letters don't switch around on them.
"The uh...Salap-" Sai scrunches their face in annoyance, making a noise, "Salad...Salad Curry, sounds good....I think..." before Silver squirms impatiently in their arms, wiggling at the scent of food in the air.
'Ronnnnn!' The disgruntled Aron calls out, as Sai wrangles him to keep him from falling. "Just a bit longer buddy, relax." Sai wheezes before chuckling softly. "Never been able to handle much caffeine, always gives me a headache."

"That does sound good, I agree," Farrah nods along. She grins, a moment later. "Oh, I understand that. I hate coffee, actually. Though there's probably easier ways, but... y'know. If I gotta pull late nights working and still be up early, it's worth it. Headaches, though, not so much. I get avoidin' it for that, certainly."
It isn't too much longer until the barista comes back, boots in his arm for Sai and Silver. "Sorry about that wait," they smile, apologetic, "But! Winners' prize. If you all know what you're feeling for dinner, I'd be happy to take that too and bring it out to you." He looks as if he's going to hand the boots to Sai, before realizing oh, their hands are full with their Pokemon! Farrah takes them instead, with a reassurance that she doesn't mind carrying them. She gives their dinner request to the barista as well with a grateful little nod, before tilting her head at Sai, eyes crinkled at the edge.
"Alrighty then. I feel like eating on the terrace, I think. You? Certainly less noise, and our Pokemon can relax and enjoy the fresh air, too."

Sai flushes and squawks at their predicament, looking between their new boots and an impatient Silver, before wheezing in relief when they see Farrah grab the boots. Whispering a quiet, "Thank you", Sai listens, otherwise quiet before barista leaves the trio once more.
"That definitely sounds like a good idea." Sai says, trying to not sound too relieved as they stand, ignoring the various bones that creak and pop as they do, manhandling Silver until he can be held in one arm who looks incredibly displeased at leaving the area with all the good smells.
"Silver, relax!" Sai huffs out, settling him on their hip with a wheeze before chuckling softly and looking to Farrah once more, before handing a hand out sheepishly for the boots. "Sorry about that."
