weather: rain (drizzle)
characters: Rebecca Cardinal , ???
battle mechanics: none
Rebecca lay in her sleeping bag, listening to the light patter of rain on the top of her tent. For a while she drowsed, thinking mostly about birds; then she heard an actual bird noise from within one of her Pokeballs. She knew what that meant: someone wanted out. And as much as she might like to sleep longer, she had an obligation to her Pokemon.
She got up, pulled on a sweater, and let Galla and Mimida out of their Pokeballs. It was Mimida who'd woken Rebecca; while Galla looked puffed-up and a little drowsy herself, Mimida clearly wanted something. "Gee!"
"Do you want breakfast? Or to go outside?" It didn't really matter which, Rebecca supposed, since the former would require the latter. As recommended in her oldest camping and training manuals -- the ones from before Pokemon's disappearance -- she'd stored her food in a nearby tree instead of in her tent. Pulling on a (mostly) waterproof jacket, Rebecca climbed out of her tent, Mimida fluttering out before her. Galla picked her way over to Rebecca's sleeping bag -- to the warm spot left by Rebecca's body -- and sat down, clearly quite comfortable where she was.
As Rebecca got their food down from the tree, Mimida fluttered around their campsite, checking over the area.
