Morning || N/A || @posie Your encounter has begun! A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
When they said old, they meant old. Despite this building being--technically--brand new, it looked as if it has stood in this spot, undisturbed, for centuries. It was a massive mansion made of the finest woods and stone and iron. The gate surrounding the area creaked ominously in the wind, covered in creepy vines. The yard was overgrown grass and weeds. The building was covered in plants growing out of the woodwork and stone, crawling over the seemingly ancient homestead.
There was an old well that looked as if it was haunted. There was an old, creaky play-set in the backyard, the swings creaking in the wind. Even the front door creaked open, on it's own, once someone approached. Random chance or... planned or... was a ghost type inviting you in?
The inside of the building was covered in dust, holes in the floor leading to the basement and the staircase partially broken. This place, the entire zone, was safe. It was safe.
Safe, safe safe.
But this place didn't feel safe. It could make the hair on the back of even the bravest neck stand on in. Four stories of some unknown, untold, creepy story that was made up for this location.
Welp, this place wasn't going to explore itself! What will you do?

Phantump played happily amidst the eerie atmosphere while Posie clung onto her satchel containing the safari balls the staff had given her, and her field journal which by now had been almost filled with pages of the wildlife in Gladegloom. She thought that this would be no different than the misty veil of the forest, but this was much worse. If the creaking old structure wasn't enough to set anyone on their wits end, the tricks of the mind certainly would. Left and right in her peripherals she could only briefly see shapes moving in the dark and couldn't tell if they were from her own ghost pokemon, or from a proper specter.
While Posie was shaking like a leaf in the wind down in the foyer, Belle was playfully exploring the neglected structures chasing an old ball she had found in the yard. It reminded her of something long long ago but as time marched on, everything melted together in a surrealist mindscape that the little one just couldn't comprehend. Her mind wandered off every now and then as she looked at the weathered photographs on the wall of...some sort of family she thought. Nobody she could recognize even without the unsightly stains speckling each frame. Belle bounced the ball down a hallway only to hear her trainer jump at the sudden noise.
"B-belle? Was that you? Ugh, come on Posie pull yourself together! Its. Safe."

Morning || N/A || @posie A Wild Trubbish appeared! What do you do? You have 3 actions to take in this encounter. A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
The strange atmosphere led to a strange smell.
A Trubbish had just left what must be the kitchen, munching on some rotting garbage that had been left here--probably to add to the atmosphere or as actual food. Maybe both. The pokemon seemed surprised to see a human there, in this strange area, with a pokemon no less!
Curious, the Trubbish made her way over, giving a wave with one of her tentacle arms. Well, how do you do! This place wasn't really an area the pokemon would expect people to come to, but it wasn't unusual... well, most of the people she saw were in uniforms, carrying around clipboards. This person seemed different, but maybe nice? Only one way to find out!
"Trubbish!" she said with a smile. Maybe this pair needed help finding their way around? What will you do?

Posie swiveled around on her heels towards the trubbish happily sauntering towards her, expecting to find Belle. At the sight of it though, Posie's eyes lit up and she knelt down closer to the floor where she could be near eye level with this odd pokemon.
"Well hello there! What an odd one you ar-HRK!"
The smell was enough to make Posie fall over as she was taken by surprise. This wasn't exactly a bad smell, it reminded her of life back at the farm when she was a child and smelled similar to the manure they used to fertilize crops, and thankfully it allowed Posie to tolerate being around the trubbish as she happily waved her tendril arm made up of miscellaneous garbage.
"Hmmnnnn. Ahem. Wow I wasn't expecting to uh, smell that. It actually reminds me of home, sorry for the overreaction...you seem nice though! Very different from the plant-like pokemon I'm accustomed to seeing but I guess this proves that many more things can be pokemon. Even inanimate objects... Posie quickly snapped up her field journal and her glasses flashed a striking glare as she sketched out the trubbish in the best detail she could. Meanwhile Belle wandered down into the foyer with the ball in hand a little bit cautious of the garbage pile...but if Posie could tolerate it then its only polite for Belle to do the same right? She approached and, trying to mask her similar surprise at the stench, playfully rolled the ball towards the trubbish as an invitation to play.

The Trubbish frowned at the reactions to her smell. She... forgot that she smelled bad to other creatures, actually. When its your own natural stench, it's hard to find it unappealing. She couldn't blame the human or the other pokemon, however, they were just different from Trubbish, but that didn't mean it didn't hurt a bit. She tried to mask it with a polite smile. At least the smell reminded the human of home, hm? That was... something.
She looked at the Phantump and gave a polite smile, but declined to play. Moving too much might cause more of the smell to come out, and she'd hate that. Some folks had fainted from her stench before, like those that came in with the clipboards.
No, she would instead politely sit here, waiting to see if the human would need her help. It would be rude of her to just walk off, after all, after she did greet them. It seemed they were at an impasse of sorts... What will you do?

Posie lifted her face out of her journal and lokked at the trubbish, and gave a warm smile as she turned the book around to show the meticulously detailed sketch. At this point, the smell was just something that she could push into the back of her senses. In the time of her research she has learned that pokemon have a sentience very similar to humans in fact, their own feelings and personalities that merited their own respect in all shapes and sizes. She knew this most of all, despite being the way she was born her parents treated her the way any happy child would want from the first dress they got for her to supporting her journey away from home.
"See! You are quite remarkable the way you are, in fact you have an important place in this world just like every one and every thing here."
She gestured towards the dilapidated mansion and set the journal on the floor for the trubbish to inspect. If she was being honest, Posie's entire appearance was only held together by her headband keeping her wild meadow hair from fraying within minutes. Slowly, Posie reached out and gave a gentle pat onto the rubbery surface of the garbage bag making up the trubbish's body. Quickly, an idea popped into her mind that made her almost fall onto her face as she clamored for her journal with pen in hand.
"Oh! oh! I know, you see I'm here on my own research and I was actually looking for wonderful pokemon like yourself, the ecosystem here is marvelously preserved and perhaps some of the pokemon here would even be willing to co-habitate with humans to prove that it is very much possible and beneficial!"
Posie went off in an excited streak. She poured out her mind and heart with genuine joy as she sat besides the trubbish while phantump was struggling to understand the academia spouting from her trainer's mouth.

She moved forward to look at the journal, impressed at the talent and skill this human showed for drawing pokemon. She smiled at the image. "Trub, trubbish!" She said. She was a little cutie, wasn't she? Just like mama used to say!
The pat came as a surprise and she looked up at the human, confused. Not many people would dare to touch her, given they were supposed to be walking germ factories, but Trubbish knew humans had a lower tolerance for poison than she did. But... the gesture was nice, even if now the Trubbish was worried for the human's health.
But the human didn't seem to care, she seemed so excited. Trubbish watched her curiously and listened. Live alongside people? It was a dream that any polite pokemon would want! But as the human gestured around,t he Trubbish looked at her home. It depended on her to clean up the trash and to preserve it for then non-poison types then... right?
She looked at the human and tilted her head. "Trub?" What will you do?

Posie went on until she caught her words in her throat and coughed. This much talking was very rare for her, and the light tinge of iron in her throat was a hard reminder that pulled her back down to the present. She simply smiled and from her bag puled out one of the safari balls the staff had given to her. Posie rolled it along towards the trubbish and gave Belle a loving pat on her wispy "hair" emerging from the top of the haunted stump.
"It's your choice though, I don't want to force you to do anything you don't want to do. That's how we should treat each other, and nature as well. Regardless, I still have work here to do so you'll be seeing me plenty!"

The Trubbish decided to stay in the mansion. Darn! A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
The offer was a surprise! The Trubbish thought about it for a few moments, balancing the pros and cons in her head. But she had a duty here. Without her, the trash might build up too much and cause serious harm to the other pokemon that lived in this area. As nice as most of the people that she had seen wandering around were, some didn't care if they tossed a water bottle into the nearby woods or this building. To her, it was a free lunch, but to the environment, she was doing good work.
With a shake of her head and a smile, she denied the human's offer. As sweet as it was, she would stay here and do her work to protect the environment. The human was right, after all, they all had a duty! But she appreciated the kindness this human had shown her. With a wave goodbye, she returned to her duty to continue cleaning the environment of this mansion. What will you do?

"I understand, well see you around! Don't be a stranger you hear?"
With that, Posie waved goodbye with an smile and picked up the safari ball from the floor along with her field journal now refreshed and reassured. While she stood there in thought, an idea came to her mind and she beckoned Belle closer as she scribbled quickly in her journal.
"Hey hey, while we're here...I heard that the reserve is home to some rarer pokemon, and maybe after a while I would like to explore the forest they have here on the premises, but while we're still here in this dilapidated mansion there's a possibility that just maybe..."
Posie flipped over her journal to the phantump and pointed to a rough drawing of an animal cell and plant cell.
"You see, while I was examining your leaves under the microscope they seem to be like an average plant cell but that got me thinking. Now that I've very literally seen a pokemon made of trash I wonder how variable pokemon can actually be since they can be of organic and inorganic material such as steel types. What if there was a pokemon out there that looked like a cell, so if you happen to see something like uhh...this"
She tapped her fingers at the amorphous shapes of the animal cell diagram, all of which Belle couldn't even begin to make heads or tails of as her trainer explained the intricate biology of cellular life. It turned into white noise as she stared blankly at the page now wondering just how long her trainer has been observing her own leaves under that strange device she apparently calls a microscope...Belle snapped out of it when Posie closed her book and expectantly waited for Belle's response with an excited grin.
"Phan.....tump!"
She wasn't sure what Posie jsut said but as long as she could pretend to understand then she'd get it eventually right? Right...

A Wild Gastly Appeared! You have 3 actions to take. A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
The old mansion was a perfect place to escape from the winds outside. It was enclosed, had an old vent system she could wander through, and had just that right amount of atmosphere to call it home. Maybe that was why when she came out of the old vent, her gaseous body beginning to take on some semblance of a "form", she was surprised to see a human here. Usually, she would try and scare the human away, but this was too odd. There were people all out there in the forest, maybe one reason she had been so happy to find this place to hide. So why would someone come in here of all places? To this ancient building that was falling apart?
"Gastly." She said. A statement as she eyed the fellow ghost type. Well, maybe that explained it. This human clearly had the right idea of which type of pokemon was the best! Gastly could appreciate that. What will you do?

Posie got up with a smile and dusted herself off, at first unaware of the gastly's presence in the room, and as she safely tucked the safari ball away in her bag an oddly fragrant scent came wafting through the vents. It took Belle by surprise too, until she turned around to investigate the scent and found the clamoring and gaseous pokemon creeping up behind them. Belle jumped in her proverbial skin and right up into her trainer's arms. It took a small bit, but Posie turned her head after taking a few seconds to process her ironically spooked ghost and smiled in delight at the sight of the gastly.
"Oh! So you're what startled Belle here! How curious, pokemon even come in gaseous forms as well and so it seems the ghost stories from Gladegloom could've been the work of tricksters like yourself. Bravo!"
She playfully clapped her hands and giggled in delight as her phantump stuck out a cheeky tongue, buried under an acknowledging smile at the gastly who bested herself. Posie pulled the safari ball from her bag and clutched it tight in her hand as she stretched it out in invitation to the spectral guest
"Its only if you want to, but perhaps you might be willing to come along with us! I'm curious to see what kind of pokemon you can become, and maybe perhaps even help me in my research."

(Don't forget to state your action OOC!) Capture successful! Please add Gastly to your tracker! A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
The gastly wasn't quite sure what the human was talking about, but that strange orb was rather shiny. She floated towards it and tapped it with her smoke, suddenly finding herself drawn inside. She struggled quite a bit against the strange device, the ball itself shaking violently.
The gastly continued to fight until she realized just how nice this place was. Her smoke was all with her, given it made up about 98% of her entire body. And she was technically safe in here, and it wasn't like the human seemed to be a threat... hm.
The ball shook once, twice, three times before finally clicking. It seemed, for a moment, it wouldn't work and the pokemon would break out. But now the ball laid still, the capture of the ghost successful.
Talk about ghost busting! What will you do?

The ball rolled in her hand until a definitive click resonated across the mansion, and Posie stood dumbfounded. Belle was stricken as well, both her and her trainer stood there with blank expressions until Posie finally awoke from her confused stupor. With the pokeball now tucked away in her bag, she decided to perhaps explore around the area before leaving for the day. She climbed the creaking stairs and dust that hadn't been disturbed in years sprinkled down from the floorboards.
Posie stuck her head through a set of rotting double doors. The once polished wood had been left neglected and eaten away by time, and the hinges were encrusted in rust that squealed as the doors slowly swung open . Beyond was a magnificent study, though the term was relative...The shelves were in disarray, some even toppled over! The large study sprawled a large enough space to be comparable to Posie's own apartment and as Belle floated off somewhere in the miniature library the sound of strewn about pages flew alongside her. Posie took a seat at an empty desk and spent a moment to absorb the atmosphere of the room. Archaic, unkempt, yet there was something mystical about untouched knowledge despite what she knew to be just seemingly normal books.
"I wonder..."
She stood up and perused the abandoned collection until she came at the biology section of books.

A Wild Drifloon appears! You have 3 action(s) to take. A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
Confusion didn't even begin to describe what the drifloon was feeling. Why would a human be wandering around this place? Broken glass, garbage, various types of mold... it was a health hazard! Given a ghost type should probably adore that stuff (and she did) she didn't think humans liked. Was this one alright? They were just... looking through old books? Ugh! The dust! This poor bipedal non-floating creature needed her help, stat!
She floated close, noticing the human's partner pokemon and deciding to maybe not approach too quickly. Still... she floated there and turned back to the human and tilted her body to the side. "Loon?" she asked. Maybe they needed help finding the exit? What will you do?
