Posie sneezed as a cloud of dust plumed upwards from an old book she opened with a creak, knocking her glasses straight off her face and flying across the table in front of her. The world was blurry without them. She could see things that were directly in front of her, but the distance was all fuzzy blobs in her vision. It was inevitable that she'd bump into the ghostly balloon and take a moment to freeze in place.
"Belle?? Was that you, where are you? My glasses....wait hold on."
She squinted at the drifloon and had a wide smile at the sight of it. A child-like glee filled her heart as she waved her arms in happiness and hopped in place unable to contain her joy. She scrambled for the journal strapped to her side and wildly flipped to a blank page with pencil in hand. By now she had completely forgotten about her missing glasse. Posie was lost in her own fascination, and as quickly as she rushed for the pencil she flipped the book around to show a cute rendition of the balloon accompanied by a child version of herself
"My family told me about you! Drifloon and your evolution used to fly across the skies and in my research it shows that some were even used in studying meteorology! Fascinating how pokemon can take the form of both animate and inanimate objects such as balloons and trash bags!"

The wild Drifloon didn't seem to mind being bumped into! You have 2 action(s) to take. A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
Oh no! That sneeze was powerful, adn the drifloon didn't even mind the human bumping into them after losing those strange things on the face. The drifloon was.... curious about the sudden change of behavior, but shrugged it off and floated over to the glasses picking them up, dusting them off, and putting them back on the human's face. There, better.
"Drif," she responded at all the words the human was saying. She peered at the drawing and smiled, clapping her little hands together. Oh, that was very good! This human had some artistic talent, perhaps they could put it on a fridge for all to see? How wonderful. Humans were such odd creatures. As the drifloon understood, pokemon looked after these poor, defenseless, hairless creatures with no powers. This one seemed to have a good companion, but that companion did let the human wander into a dangerous location...
"Loon?" the drifloon asked, seeming confused at the thought of her kind working with humans and their scientific endeavors. Interesting, most humans were terrified of them for... kidnapping and all that. What will you do?

"Oh the ghost stories? Please, I was raised near the Gladegloom where fairy tales are a plenty and the scary bedtime stories are a little bit more true than I'm comfortable with..."
Posie happily beckoned Belle over, and carefully brushed her hands at the newly sprouted leaves growing on the branches. The arrival of spring was turning them a vibrant viridian, and the tea made from them was all the more potent. Belle happily swirled around her trainer and then towards the drifloon with a welcoming smile.
Her woes have calmed since being with this human. The sadness that she thought she had to live with, along with her human's own, melted away like the winters snow in spring. Pieces of her former human life were coming together in this decrepit place. Memories of playing down the hall, well probably not this house's hall, as a child without a care in the world. So blissfully ignorant. How was she to know that beautiful flower she found in the woods one day would end up making her so sleepy.
Ah! Bell shook her head and snapped out of her entrancing memories. Where were her manners. She reassured the drifloon that her human was hardier than she looked, and actually came from a place working the earth. She was plenty familiar with dirt and grime!

The wild Drifloon seems to understand! You have 1 action(s) to take. A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
Interesting... at least this young ghost seemed to have ended up with a lovely trainer, and the drifloon will believe that the human was hardy. It wasn't as if they had any choice but to, they didn't know the human personally, after all. The pokemon smiled at this pair. How sweet! It was lovely to have a partner, yes? A friend to trust and to be with? And one that seemed fond of ghosts was also good. Not all ghost pokemon came about the same way as other pokemon, after all, so to find a human that understood and seemed to respect ghosts for what they were was lovely.
Drifloon herself hatched from an egg, so she knew she was a pokemon thoroughly, but her parents... well, that left something open for conversation. It was just nice to be here and to have such lovely company in this old mansion she drifloon had started to call home. What will you do?

Posie smiled and outstretched her hand with a safari ball clutched in her dainty, but worked, hands to the drifloon. The light from her sparkling eyes shone through the dark mindscape her phantump had wandered into, and Belle remembered why she had accepted becoming a pokemon and companion to Posie's grandmother. The poise! The confidence! The unwavering guidance that tilled the earth and showed her after death the value in hard work, but also love. The phantump gleefully swirled around the library.
"Come with! We have a lovely garden tended by yours truly, and all sorts of pokemon help out. The berries are beginning to bloom actually...Bell remember to harvest them when they're ready so we can share with those alley pokemon so they don't have to steal food from the restaurants."
She gently booped the pokeball onto the drifoon's puffy cloud and felt a warmth in her heart.

Capture successful! Please add Drifloon to your tracker! A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
Hm... a very interesting offer. Traveling with a human? Tending to a garden? Companionship would be nice, and perhaps leaving this mansion would be good for the drifloon, to see more of the world and to make new friends. There were worse people out there, right? And besides, this human seemed to be with it and seemed to have a kind heart. So... why not?
The drifloon allowed herself to be tapped with the ball and it instantly clicked in Posie's hand. The capture was successful, and the drifloon was ready for her next adventure in life. What will you do?

One, two three, click!
The safari ball's capture confirmation echoed through the old house and Posie looked back to the equally, if not older, books laid out on the table she had set to research. How much time has passed since she was even in here let alone the Safari Zone she wondered. Surely there would be staff here to check for stragglers or even potential poachers. The day was peaceful though as she surveyes the old library's collection. It would be impossible to read them all in one visit, and Posie was amazed at the selection here untouched for years....

A wild Mimikyu appears! You have 3 action(s) to take. A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
The pokemon hadn't been here for long. This place seemed to just have popped up over night but it was a safe, nice place to live for a ghost type. Every night there was new cloth and charcoal and paint and wood for the pokemon to use to try and perfect its art. Plenty of mirrors to look at as well, broken ones being replaced as if by magic. This place was like... heaven for pokemon.
But humans were allowed to visit, to see what pokemon in a good environment would be like. That was why this was a perfect moment to try and show off his hard work, to see if it passed the inspection of the masses.
"Pi... Pi....Kyu!" he said, coming out of the shadows, disguise bared proudly as he tried to act as cute as the pikachus he would see did. What will you do?

Posie turned her head at the noise lurking in the dark, and to her surprise was the bobbing head of a pikachu but at closer inspection...
The head wobbled unnaturally as it approached Posie and once it did....it just stood there...now that it's in the light Posie could see that it was a pikachu doll, but there under the bottom part where the feet would be were flickering shadows that inched along the floorboards. For a moment Posie couldn't even tell which set of eyes to look at when noticing the one cut out at the torso for whatever she assumed to be inside to see. But the craftsmanship!
"Oh! Astonishing crafstmanship- did you do this? It's absolutely lovely! You actually remind me a bit of...me, actually." The familiar pain swirled in her chest again. She completely forgot up until now and was living in blissful ignorance for this whole time but seeing the costumed pokemon plucked a nerve inside of Posie's psyche. She sat down besides the mimikyu and gently opened the field journal.
"Do you mind if I draw you? I-its okay if you dont want me to!"

The Mimikyu seems to have a slightly negative reaction. You have 2 action(s) to take. A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
Oh... so they weren't very convincing as a pikachu then? That hurt. The mimikyu seemed to deflate a little and didn't seem to really register the human's question about the drawing. He had worked so hard! But if his design wasn't perfect then no one would ever love him as much as a pikachu... it was so unfair. That yellow rat got all the love and affection and he got nothing for so long.
But he did perk up after a while and looked at the field journal and tilted his head. Well... it wasn't like the human meant to hurt his feelings, it just meant he had to work a bit harder at his design until it was perfect. Maybe he could find more cloth somewhere around this place... maybe something less... old? Maybe more yellow and fresh? It was worth a shot. What will you do?

"I know what it's like to be overshadowed by someone. And trying to perfect the mask you wear..."
Posie scrawled onto the journal the mimikyu's likeness and remembered life before she transitioned. Trying to be the son they wanted her to be, until she decided that she wasn't going to try to pretend to be someone she wasn't. It still hurt though when she had to present male in circumstances where her ID had an M and not an F as it does now.
"But all your hard work does show. If its any help to you at all, I genuinely saw a pikachu on first glance. Had I not looked closer well, hm. This is getting all too familiar I'm sorry. I worked really hard on my clothes too, to be seen as a woman back then so I can relate. If its any consolation though! I hear you've actually gotten to be way more popular than the actual pikachu! Wanna come with? I actually know a plave in Sylvanport we can visit for high quality fabrics. And plenty of fairy types there as well!

The Mimikyu decides to stay in the wild. Shoot! A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
That was a very nice offer, and interesting that mimikyu was more loved than pikachu but... well, if that was true then he would need to make sure his costume was absolutely perfect! He had to stay here and get back to work on it! Why, he couldn't leave yet with his outfit in tatters and not matching absolute perfection that could be loved by those outside this broken down home!
He gave a bow to the human, understanding where she was coming from, and wished her the best, but he had his own adventure to take to be who he really was! He scurried off, back to a deeper, darker part of the house where he could cut fabric and start to stitch it together. It'd be wonderful, something that was really him! He could do this! That nice human had given him the spark of an idea and the mimikyu had to run with it!
A shame he wouldn't be traveling with that team but, what can you do? The talk of nice fabrics sounded nice but... if people liked mimikyu now, then they must like the version that tries hard to look like pikachu. He was going to do that! What will you do?

"May we meet again!"
Posie wiped a tear from her eye, forcing a smile and standing back up after a few moments of thought still there sitting on the floor. Belle hasn't seen Posie like this before....sure she knew that sadness was a normal emotion but, seeing through the facade her trainer kept so well maintained even for a moment felt some sort of emotion the phantump couldn't quite place right now. Never had she even seen her trainer cry...she zipped to Posie's side and gave a tight hug, as tight as a ghost can give.
"Hm? Oh, I'm okay Belle. Just had a little moment there, nothing to be worried about I promise."
She was clearly lying. Everything was not okay but as she checked the time, there wasnt any left to play therapist. The Safari Zone would begin its sweep of the area soon. Posie took her bag and headed to the foyer.

A wild Litwick appears! You have 3 action(s) to take. A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
The only difference in the foyer of the mansion was that there was a candle that seemed to have been dropped in the very center of the floor. It's blue flame flickered brightly, but as the human and ghost approached, the candle spun around! A litwick!
The little ghost type looked at Posie curiously before giving a smile and a wave. Oh! He wasn't aware anyone had come in here! He was supposed to give the tours, it was his self appointed job! Well, better late than never, right? He motioned around him as if to say, 'this is the foyer!'. The human probably already knew that, but ya know, he had a self-appointed job to do and he was going to try his best to do it!
He was, after all, a gentle-pokemon! What will you do?

"Oh! Yes, it's quite a lovely foyer! Well, as lovely as it can be in this state but I'm sure that trubbish is working hard to keep the place as neat and tidy as they can."
Posie looked to the time on her phone, and then back to Belle sleepily dragging along behind. She was still making her way down the stairs and rubbing her sleepy eyes.
"I suppose there's time for another quick look if that's quite alright with you! Please, show us around!"
Belle curled herself into Posie's arms as the litwick inched along the old halls, through the kitchen with various rusted pots and pans laying about on the abandoned stove, and through the grand dining hall empty and draped in cobwebs. The table was big enough for a grand and lavish feast, the thought of this now lonely room housing the elite drinking wine was a spectacle to Posie...she had only known the humble living on the farm. Silver candelabras dotted the moth-eaten runner, abandoned and having their last light snuffed out decades ago. The sunset through the dirty windows glowed a warm orange light across the room, and specks of dust danced in the air as the litwick proudly showed them out the room
"Curious, say...would you like to come with us? I know its a sudden offer but we have a lovely garden for you to enjoy, grown by this little one here! Lighting the way for other pokemon to find the garden would be perfect for you, and there's plenty of fresh berries to go around. I wish for the pokemon to have a safe place in the city so they don't have to compete for food..."
