Gardens of the Future Event
It's a rather large gathering, filled with people and their pokemon. A large stage has been set up in Summerhill, near the old farmlands. Some of them have been converted to only mushrooms or algae, but much more of the land has become overgrown with trees and shrubs. Some areas that have become overgrown and disused have been marked off with construction barrels and tape.
The backdrop of the stage said pretty much all of it: The Gardens of the Future (Sponsored by Salve Co.)
The flyers and posts made on online boards called for trainers to come help bring about a new, better future for humans and pokemon. It appears the event is beginning as the Salve Co. CEO steps out onto the stage, their loyal riolu walking beside them with her paws behind her back, looking very prim and proper, but also on the look out for danger. The CEO smiles as they reach the podium and begins the speech.
"Hello citizens of Deprin! I am so glad to see such a crowd here today. After working with the local farmers and gather enough seeds from Salve Co.'s storage, I am so happy to announce that today, we bring back the foods they had over 80 years ago! Rice, grapes, wheat, oats, corn, tomatoes, eggplants, potatoes, onions, carrots, the whole works! Soon, we will no longer have to eat just mushrooms and algae! Our efforts today will make these foods available to a large range of people and help keep cost low, and the cost will get lower over time! We have some wonderful volunteers that look forward to bringing back the food of old and to tend to the crops, but they can't do it alone."
"Today, we will all assist in clearing the land, tilling the soil and planting the seeds of the future! And to sweeten the deal, Salve Co. is offering a raffle of some valuable rewards. The harder you work, the more tickets you will gain! Salve Co. will take on the hardest jobs such as clearing old stones and boulders, but there is nothing more valuable than the help of trainers and their pokemon! Let's work to make a better future together."
"Please! Pair off into teams and work together to make this dream come true. I will pair off with whoever does not have a partner. If you have any questions, please approach one of our employees and they will offer you any help you require. Likewise, if you happen upon some wild pokemon, please do not battle them! A battle could damage the delicate soil the plants will need to thrive, please aim for peaceful resolutions!"
"Now, without further adieu, let's get to work!"

Once you pick your partner and have your starting thread up, please reply to this thread with a link to your post! A staff member will claim it and will be there shortly!
Event Rules:
- Teams of Two! (Please do not roleplay with yourself!)
- One Event thread for your team must be posted in Summerhill. Please put [Event] Somewhere in the title of your thread. Before you post, choose which area you would like to work on! Each area will have different challenges to face.
- All event threads have the following info: Weather: Clear, Time: Day, Battles: None.
- You and your partner will both post before a mod begins to post. The mod will inform you when you move onto a new stage of the event.
- When you post, your partner will have 48 hours to respond before a mod skips ahead and makes a post. Don't worry if you don't make the deadline, you can always jump back in later!
- Failure to post within 48 hours to keep the thread moving will only result in you not earning tickets. You can only get tickets for posts you make.
- You will automatically gain 1 ticket per post. You will gain extra tickets based on your creativity with your post and on a d20 roll made by a moderator. The mod will inform you how many tickets you earn each mod post.
- Any wild encounters must be solved out-of-battle. You will have to decide among yourselves who gets the Pokemon. If only one person responds and it has been 48 hours, the mod will move ahead as if the person that posted first gets the capture chance and will prompt said player to attempt a capture. If the player does not want to attempt a capture, the Pokemon will flee.
-There are 3 stages to the event. Try to complete each stage for the max number of possible tickets for the raffle!
-Mods will track your tickets, so don't worry about that!
Event Areas:
- Rice Terraces - help clear land of the old rice terraces! Will require filling the terraces with the proper amount of water.
- Grape Orchards - help clear land for the grape orchards! Will require setting up wooden supports for the grape vines.
- Basic Field - help clear a basic field that will be used for a variety of crops! Will require tilling the soil in long, straight lines for proper and maximum crop growth.
- Tree Orchards - help clear the land for tree orchards! Will require spacing out the sections for each tree, to ensure their roots can spread properly.
- Cotton Fields - help clear the land for a cotton field! Will require proper spacing of seeds and proper tilling of the soil.
Event Prizes:
There will be two winners to the raffle (once you win one prize, you will be dropped from winning other prizes). The raffle will be done the day the event ends.
- A Level 1 Bulbasaur
- Miracle Seed
Everyone has a chance to find mystery items during your thread, AND there is also a chance to catch pokemon from a list made specifically for this event! So even if you don't win the raffle, you do get some cool prizes for participating (+ that EXP!)
