Nestled against a vicious sea and sheer rock faces, Sunhaven has the odd reputation of being a rather joyful town, even after the Rapture. It's brightly painted buildings have been built to withstand even the worst of storms, and that paint is still just as bright as happy as ever. The city itself is filled with all sorts of restaurants and cafés, giving residents plenty of places to spend time. But what they really love? Their lighthouse, which has stood on the highest rocks for centuries, warning ships of the shoreline... it still shines today, even though no one sails in the Northern Gulf anymore.
Sunhaven Encounter Table The scent of the salt and the sound of crashing waves does very little to ruin this town's happy attitude. The streets are well maintained, covered in the original cobblestone, and each places to eat or have entertainment has been managed through the same families for centuries. Despite their absence for years, even pokémon seem to have settled right in. Common: 1 - 48 Day / Clear: 1 - 12

Area Map and Lore Many, many years ago, Sunhaven was nothing more than a single lighthouse that shined through thick fog and storm, warning sailors that they were approaching the shoreline and that the waters they were in were dangerous waters. Then, slowly, Sunhaven began to build itself up in the stormy gulf. Some would think the constant nasty weather and vicious sea would wear down the reserve of the residents, but this was the opposite of the case. The people turned to each other and their home, making Sunhaven the brightest place in Deprin in terms of color and colorful people. It used to be known as The Spot among progressive youths setting out to make a name for themselves. Then the Rapture happened... without pokémon, the hurricanes and storms that pounded Sunhaven were... tolerated just like always! The city was built with a natural incline to discourage pooling water, their buildings made to withstand even the strongest of winds and battering waves. And with their lighthouse standing tall, the people knew they could weather the disappearing pokémon, too. The people of Sunhaven always said pokémon would one day come back. Some scoffed at their optimism, until their optimism turned out to be truth. |
