Sylvanport - The Nameless Apothecary | Day | Fog | Maja Convallaria PARTY:
"Hey, hey! Have you heard?"A girl with a warm knitted sweater said to her friend passing through the foggy morning of Sylvanport. "Huh? What is it this time. This better not be another one of your stupid jokes!"Her friend replied, jabbing her friend in the shoulder with them both erupting in laughter. "Noooo, come on I'm serious this time! Its this really nice tea shop I found the other day!""Ok fine. What about it." "Well, I lost my phone charm the other day and get this! A kind little boy told me he found it but led me through a wild goose chase all through the city. When I finally caught up to the little guy though, wham! A Nice little tea shop appeared in the middle of the fog!!""Are you sure that it wasn't just some marketing stunt?" "I'm serious!! My phone charm was right at the door but I decided it couldn't hurt to just take a peek inside...""You did NOT, get outta here!""I DID though! Inside was this lovely girl, big glasses and everything and the cuutest little morelull ever!! I had a cup of tea and it was SO GOOD." "Well, do you know where it is?""Uhhh, not exactly...""Oh come on! You went through all that trouble and even got served tea just to not jot down its address?" "H-Hey! I was busy enjoying the tea and cookies!! Well, they say that if you lose something here in Sylvanport it can be sometimes found at this nameless tea shop!" "Huh. Don't think you can find that homework you've been missing for a few days now huh?""T-thats not the point!!"Behind them, a little boy in a dark sweater chuckled to himself almost satisfied to hear of his plan's rousing success. Though Maja implores him to stop stealing, Morgana can't exactly deny that this hasn't brought in a steady stream of customers to the quaint little tea shop. It was about time too! Ever since settling down here after leaving that drab Salve island, he's been twiddling his thumbs looking for something to do. Seeing Maja wallow in her own sorrow was getting boring as well and he needed to light a fire under her ass to actually get stuff moving for once! Morgana was so lost in thought that he bumped into someone along his morning walk. Nice suit and tie, and their hair just as neat n' tidy. Morgana rushed out an apology from his mouth, but not without taking the opportunity to swipe something satisfy his kleptomania. The two went their own ways, and Morgana could pick up the scent of another zorua. Just enough to flash his own wispy black tail through the fog before disappearing with the person's shiny watch. Surely this guy has money to spend and Maja definitely needs the cash more than Morgana does. Pokémon don't even have a use for money anyways! Well, Until Morgana gets a craving for sweets and decides to run off with the stash he has to go buy candy from the kind old man who hasn't caught on yet that this little boy isn't exactly human.

"Even if it's not your fault, it's your responsibility." -Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky And I scream at the top of my lungs, "What's going on?"
It was important to introduce Cassiel to the world of humans slowly and with care. Which is what Takara would have liked to do, but the Null had other ideas, deciding quite on his own to accompany Takara and his team to Sylvanport for a bit of work. It was off the clock work to Takara--which always upset his more protective pokemon--but it was work nonetheless. A server had gone down and instead of dragging the poor worker off of their vacation to fix it, Takara would do it instead.
The man was dressed in more relaxed clothing complete with sweats and a black hoodie. There was no need to look nice when just going to do some quick work. Maybe they'd grab something to eat on the way back, but...
Takara looked between Bast the luxio and Cassiel the Type: Null. Shri would have been a better pick for keeping Cassiel calm but, well, Bast needed to stretch her legs and three pokemon out at once on the street would have been a Look. Or, that is what Takara would have said if he didn't feel something slip his watch off. He glanced after the figure with the tail and sighed. Thank the heaves he left Loki and Crowley at home. Could he never escape pranksters though?
"Aw, a shame... oh well." It was just a watch. Except, once more, Cassiel proved to have his own plans. The Null let out a deep growl and darted after the figure with claws out stretched, disappearing into the fog. Bast let out a cry and was close behind, chasing down Cassiel chasing down the thief. "Guys! I didn't mean-" A red light shined from his belt as Shri had decided to let herself out as she also darted after Cassiel, leaving Takara standing there in the street alone in the fog.
He glanced at his work phone. It was blowing up with people panicking because payment collection from half the region was down. The board was screaming at him in the text messages--which he was surprised the old coots knew how to use. They heaved a sigh and leisurely walked after his pokemon and set his work phone on silent.
"Now where did they run off to...?" He mused, thinking about what he had heard the women say. Some tea would be nice on a day like this.
Of course, where the team went would depend on wherever the thief had run to! Thankfully Cassiel already had two much stronger pokemon on his tail to prevent anything bad from happening.

Sylvanport - The Nameless Apothecary | Day | Fog | Maja Convallaria PARTY:
Morgana loved the thrill of almost being caught. Purposely lagging behind just enough to let the pursuer run behind them and bend through corners. Eventually, he gave up the façade and let his illusion fall to show himself giggling with the man's watch in tow. Though the strange creature angrily chasing Morgana didn't look so pleased to the light thievery. Claws dug into brick and stone as it chased the zorua with a single purpose, and crashing into garbage cans. Through the fog the chase persisted up to this quaint, odd tea shop that appeared through the mist. Morgana spat out the watch from his mouth and teashed the Type: Null from above a brick wall, flashing a sneer and licking his paws. Inside the shop, it was warm to all the senses. A myriad of plants grew lush from hanging pots and various planters. Patrons were calmly reading as they savored the flavor of their artisan quality brew. A woman with thick, curly hair sat slumped over on the counter with a morelull waving in the air...and seemingly contributing to its trainers current state. A porygon, as twitchy and convulsive as it was, kept a diligent watch over the shop in its own trainer's absense and squealed at the new patron. Hopping over to him and attempting a greeting with its blocky arms, and then immediately glitching over to the woman to give a light smack on her head to rouse her awake. "Huh?! Oh, thank you Sigma...has Morgana stolen another thing from someone??" She fixes her glasses and sits up straight to Taka "Oh I'm so incredibly sorry for whatever my zorua stole from you...he thinks it a game and, while it has been great for business...I'd rather he not steal to have to bring in customers. He's likely hiding your whatever it is in the back with his other various baubles."

"Even if it's not your fault, it's your responsibility." -Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky And I scream at the top of my lungs, "What's going on?"
Cassiel had skidded to a stop when the zorua jumped up out of reach--or so the fox thought! Cassiel took a step back, eyes flashing as he was prepared to Aerial Ace the little thief into another life, until he was caught by one of the protruding edges of his helmet by Shri. The lucario narrowed her eyes at Cassiel, then shot her glare up to the zorua, letting Cassiel go. The lucario popped her knuckles as her glare was a warning: try that again and she would not stop Cassiel from delivering due punishment. Ugh. Zoruas. Shri had very little patience for them, including Takara's own.
Bast picked up the watch and handed it to Shri who held onto it, continuing to watch the zorua until Takara approached. Bast returned to Takara's side quickly, letting out a purr. "We need to have a chat about overreacting. It's just a watch." He slipped the watch back on once Shri handed it back and glanced up at the zorua. "I'd be careful, my little friend! One of these days you'll bite off more than you can chew from someone. Next time, have some backup in the event things go wrong." He glanced at the store front. He wasn't really in the mood for tea, but... he glanced back at the zorua. "What a cute, dangerous game you have. You remind me of my zorua and impidimp. Thank goodness I left them both at home... they'd get into so much trouble with you..."
He walked into the shop, looking around and enjoying the aroma. Little holes in the wall were wonderful places. Such passion behind them and joy. They weren't soulless, sterile places only bent on a profit--though money was important in the disgusting capitalistic society they all lived in.
Takara gave a polite head nod and smile to the porygon, recognizing it instantly. Oh, wonderful. They found a good home! That warmed Takara's heart very much. Then this must be one of the people that got an invitation to their island... then maybe the zorua... Takara's thoughts were pushed away when the young woman spoke.
"It is no problem, though your zorua is very lucky Shri stopped Cassiel from attacking your little fox friend," Takara says, glancing back at Cassiel as he walked in and sat down by Takara's side, glaring at the woman. Shri sighed and gave a stern, but polite nod to the woman and her porygon while Bast wandered around, sniffing everything. Takara watched her from the corner of his eye. "Besides, I got my watch back."
They looked around, giving a hum. "Have you tried traditional advertising? Flyers, billboards, train stop signs? Things like that? It would be a safer investment than... well..." They shrugged. "Not to go all business! While I'm here I may as well enjoy some of your wares. What would you suggest?"
Shri sighed. Not like they had places to be. Nope! Not at all. Why would they focus on their work? Not that a break wouldn't do Takara some good, but she knew they were purposely putting off doing what they had to do today just to anger the board some more.

Sylvanport - The Nameless Apothecary | Day | Fog | Maja Convallaria PARTY:
"Yea...I have been in the process of making advertisements but have admittedly fallen behind printing them all. That and it costs a nice amount..."
Maja gestured to the pile of fliers sitting neatly on the counter, where Sigma was taking an order , and promptly putting it into the tablet, with a happy whirr and a joyous laugh from the young girl who accepted her warm cup of tea. Even adding a tip to the quaint little jar besides Sigma before he dashed off back to Maja's side. Maja sighed and shrugged looking back at Taka and the Type: Null. "If I can be quite honest as well. Most of my time as of late has been chasing my curiosity surrounding Sigma here. Curious one, found in that abandoned facility supposedly blown to bits on Salve Island. He was dashing wildly from computer to computer before I managed to have a nice conversation with him over tea. Even enjoyed the digital ones on my phone!"Sigma twirled around and then turned his attention to Cassiel, his head perfectly still while the rest of his body glitched and convulsed. He recognized this one...he thought he did anyways. There were many pokémon within that facility being subjected to experimentation but none garnered as much attention as a "Type: Null" mentioned in passing. Sigma took a moment to examine Cassiel up and down. Fascinated by the conglomeration of animal parts. Then this must be the chimera he heard many times before. If so, how much torture and pain was this one subjected to compared to himself? Sigma could feel the hint of pain and sorrow behind the heavy metal mask and approached Cassiel for a hug. Or at least, an attempt at one as his arms couldn't stay still for long. " Huh, do you two know each other? I'll be honest. I never even heard nor seen any pokémon like the one by your side. Doubtless agitated by Morgana's thievery that much is plain."Maja stretched out and shook the mane that is her curly locks, before pulling a folded paper from her pocket that turned out to be the menu to this quaint little teashop. "Well! Perhaps a conversation over tea would be a nice thing to have in this dreary fog? If its a pick-me-up then perhaps some black tea? Enough caffeine to lift you up but not so much to get your hands shaky like coffee, and less of a crash too! Or! Or! Perhaps something floral and sweet to treat yourself? Or something a bit subtle to be paired with cookies?"

"Even if it's not your fault, it's your responsibility." -Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky And I scream at the top of my lungs, "What's going on?"
Takara leaned on his heels and looked to Shri, then looked at the stack of flyers, then back to her. She sighed deeply, looking exhausted. But, she knew what they meant. "Cover up those Salve flyers down on Main and Ocean View. No one needs to know about that new 'make-up' bullshit, hm?" He said softly, Shri giving a nod. She took the stack, gave a firm nod, then walked out of the building. Takara waited for the bell to ring before smiling at their delightful business owner. "Hope you don't mind. She loves doing this kind of thing." he said, lying, as he knew Shri would rather do anything else such as babysit his Crowley and Loki.
Their eyes shot to Cassiel and the Porygon, just briefly. There was no harm in the action and Cassiel seemed to be handling it like a champ. The Type: Null watched the porygon, as if he was trying to discern if the porygon was familiar or not, but... there was a sign of familiarity from the porygon, at least. Cassiel sat as still as a stone as the porygon approached with his little arms outstretched. Cassiel would accept the 'hug' if only to be polite in this place. His eyes glanced to Takara, catching the human watching him. This was not a test, nothing was. Just a moment to show how calm he could be out and about. Among humans and other pokemon. To see how well Cassiel was adjusting. It was slow, but progress was progress.
"I've been to that island, too," Takara says softly as they watch Cassiel and Sigma. "The pokemon there are very kind souls... they just need a little bit of extra love and care. Wouldn't you say, Cassiel?" The Null glanced at Takara again and gave a deep rumble. Was it a growl? Was it a statement of agreement? Who the hell knows. Takara took in a breath. "He's called a Type: Null. Unregistered in the dex... but he decided to come with me off that island. Not very trusting of people, but we're working on it... I know shit all about 'em, but ya know. Part of the adventure of pokemon! Besides, we're learning manners not not using a move on a zorua. Aren't we?" Cassiel huffed at the question.
They took a menu and glanced it over. There were... so many different types of tea. Takara was more of a coffee person. It got them up and going and they didn't have the time to brew tea. In fact, all their coffee at home was instant and Shri usually boiled the water in the morning. "Whatever you suggest will be perfect with me, promise." He put the menu back on the table and smiled. "Whatever you think is fitting for the day or the mood. I wouldn't mind hearing about your adventures on Salve Island, if you don't mind sharing, of course."

Sylvanport - The Nameless Apothecary | Day | Fog | Maja Convallaria PARTY:
"Then an uplifting, floral, roseli berry tea for this dreary fog! One moment please!"Maja went straight to work with an energy that flipped on a dime, from lethargic to hyperactive behind the counter. She set the kettle to brew and in a flash set the ingredients on the prep space before her. Finely chopping the berries that puffed a sweet aroma when sliced open, adding thin wisps of herbs, even adding a dash of bright pink petals into a neat pile to be pinched by a small tea infuser and submerged within the boiling water she poured out into what looked like handmade cups. By the time she had finished the brew, her morelull was playfully twirling around Taka with a joyous chime before planting itself in one of the various hanging pots to peacefully snooze. "Here we are! One Reseli berry tea!"Maja elegantly set the table, complete with sugar cubes and honey, neatly placing the silverware and inviting Taka to sit across from her while Sigma floated over to nuzzle under Maja's thick mass of curls. "Ah, right! Salve Island. Poor thing here was agitated and lost amidst whatever computers survived. The zorua was from there too. Presumably wanted to leave that dreary place as much as anyone. Never seen anything like Sigma before. Poured so much into trying to learn about him that I've admittedly seem to have neglected myself. Everything leads back to Save Co. and is behind some pretty hefty encryption that I just don't have the capabilities to break. I'm just a humble apothecary."She slumped in her seat and allowed Sigma to float over to Taka. He gave them a curious whirr and spun around them, tilting his polygonal head before dashing back to the register as a customer rang the bell for assistance. "But that's neither here nor there. What about you? Surely Morgana saw something in you to have nicked your watch and played his games with pokémon much stronger than him."

"Even if it's not your fault, it's your responsibility." -Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky And I scream at the top of my lungs, "What's going on?"
They smiled as the Morelull danced around before settling, keeping an eye on the skillful tea prep. It was an amazing thing to watch, really. The skill and talent that went into it, not to mention the obvious love for the job! It was admirable, something that could only be found in places like this, run by people with a passion and not a soulless stock-greedy machine.
Takara settled down at the table, gingerly sipping the tea before giving a hum. It was delicious! But could use a bit of honey. They put a small bit in as Bast settled by his feet. Cassiel moved to Takara's back, keeping watch on everyone else in the shop, twitching at each unknown sound before settling again.
Takara's brow raised as they sipped their tea. Trying to get past Salve encryption? Well, at least it was strong, but also... "Interesting..." Takara took out one of their personal phones and started to search through some information. They looked up as Sigma floated close and spun. Takara gave a wink, unsure if the polygon remembered them or not as the one that, well, opened the cages and then may or may not have blown up the entire lab after ushering the pokemon outside. Not that it mattered. What mattered is that the pokemon had found a wonderful, kind trainer in a good home. It had to be better than that awful island. Takara looked back at the phone.
"Hm? Me? Oh, well... the watch is pretty expensive. I only wear it for my coworkers, really. A few people got together to buy it for me as a gift for my promotion a few years ago, so... you know... guess he thought it was valuable enough for someone to chase after." Takara smiled as they slid their phone towards Maja. "When I was on the island, I was able to get into one of the computers before it bursts into total flames. Took a while, but that's what I found on the porygon. Looked like they were trying to create a porygon that could be more like a rotom: taking over objects, but bigger things. Whole computers instead of appliances." It was only a fraction of what Takara actually found. But not everything had to be shared right away.
Another sip of tea. "Maybe Morgana knew I wouldn't have let any of my team harm him. Cassiel is still getting used to things off the island... it's taking some time..." Takara sighed and put their tea cup down, staring at the bowl of sugar. "I just wonder what happened there... so many pokemon. I also met a golett and a castform there, too."
Of course Takara knew what they had been doing. That's why they did what they did. But still... there were a lot of questions left without answers. Questions there would never be answers to.
