| The Deprin News Network (DNN)
| The Deprin News Network has been in operation for about ten years. They were a beacon of news and information during the Rapture and even more so after it. They know where the news is, how to get it, how to verify, and have the most trust in them for accurate reporting. They hold themselves to the highest standards of any known news company and don't focus on "shock" articles and instead aim for true, factual news but making it digestible for all of Deprin. For those that want to join the DNN, it's easy! You just need to want to hunt out the truth, be willing to face challenges, hold yourself to high standards in your work and your ethical standards, and finally, you must love Deprin and pokémon! Of course, the network holds itself to these high standards for a reason. They have, at times, fired reporters that were too much like paparazzi or stretching the truth in their articles. Those individuals may have moved on to create tabloids or the like. But the real news comes from the DNN! Updates on region-wide events, swarms, and more! Their headquarters is in the Northern Gulf. It's open to visitors! |

| From reporters to field agents, the DNN is a thriving network of true journalist with a passion for truth, justice, reasonably priced potions, and a hard-boiled lucky egg! Remember, joining the DNN is easy! If you meet their standards you can join their team. Likewise, let staff know if your character is considered part of the DNN crew and we will add your information! In fact, if you see an npc that you click with and you would like to play them as a character of your own, contact staff! We will work with you to take the npc to pc! Please note, though, you cannot start with a fully evolved partner pokémon! This will be retconned for you taking over the character, though you are welcome to select a pre-evolution of their current partner pokémon. The DNN Crew + Fun FactsFun Facts: - The DNN crew is also part of a large union called the News Network Alliance that grants them numerous benefits, making the DNN one of the best jobs in Deprin outside of Salve Co. Likewise, the union ensures DNN's separation from any organization, be they Salve Co., the Laboratory, or the Pokémon League itself.
- No one can be hired into the DNN from outside the union. Likewise, the DNN has no unpaid interns and all positions make a minimum of a thriving wage based off of current market outlooks. If inflation rises, so does the pay.
- Some DNN agents work undercover to get the news that is hard to come by.

Sheryl Turnbuckle || She/Her || Show Anchor Sheryl is a shrewd anchor for the visual part of DNN's reporting, using her mastery of vocal and facial emotional ranges to really nail home the points the reports are meant to make. Despite her own personal opinions, she never lets it cloud her reporting and you could never guess where her allegiance lies from her reporting. Partner Pokémon: ; Ducklett Frank Smithens || He/Him || Show Anchor Frank is known as one of the kindest people on set. He's always there with baked goods from a local bakery, constantly offering to help out in the field, and always ready to lend a hand to anyone that needs it. The only problem is that his brain is about as big as his skitty's! Frank meets all the criteria for a real himbo: beefy, kind, and dumb as a rock. This doesn't affect his reporting though! Partner Pokémon: ; Skitty Alex Saxton || They/Them || Field Reporter Alex is a well known field reporter who tends to report from anywhere and everywhere thanks to their trusty Staraptor! Their talents for sniffing out news are nearly unmatched and they have no reserves about going into dangerous situations with pure trust in their partner pokémon. Although Alex's bravery is unmatched, the crew does worry about their safety frequently. But a general rule of thumb is: when Alex looks worried everyone should be worried! Partner Pokémon: ; Staraptor Terry Ginger || They/Them, Ze/Zim || Field Reporter, Undercover at REDACTEDTerry is one of the many undercover agents that sometimes does reporting with a voice distorter and no face in view. Zeir situation is rather precarious since it seems ze gets news on some dangerous things in Deprin. Their current assignment is unknown and no one wants to find out, in fear of breaking their cover. Partner Pokémon: ; Toxtricity (low-key) Carl Morber || He/Him || Head Janitor Carl's contributions to the DNN never goes unnoticed or unappreciated. Every credit role has a special thanks to him and his Galarian Weezing that helps him in all his work. They make a great team keeping the DNN headquarters clean and the air fresh! While not on camera, Carl does run short videos on MooTube about good cleaning practices and an ASMR cleaning videos like power-washing. Partner Pokémon: ; Galarian Weezing |
