Farrah felt like they were on hallucinogens. The kind of mushroom you weren't supposed to grow or eat, maybe. What else would explain how they and Decibel had missed a behemoth of that absolute proportion coming into the woods!? It actually took a full sweep of their phone light to actually see the entire thing for its size, and even then, holy chikoritas the sheer strength to just yank down that branch way up there.
"We just can't win, can we Dec? I..." They did a full sweep around with their phone. Shit. The foliage was still incredibly thick here and possibly filled with even more dangerous things than the predator now in their jeans' pocket. It looked like the only way out was forward... either over or through the giant. A Pokeball had barely held the Seviper for a moment the first throw - what if they tried that here, only for them and Dec to be completely crushed when it burst out? That seemed like an awful idea. And the way it looked at them...
Farrah found themselves surprised once again, though, when they looked down and found Decibel primed and ready for battle, tail wagging as he looked at his trainer in anticipation. "...Are you serious?" They asked. The Zigzagoon nodded in return.
"Alright, then... I suppose we don't have a choice anyway. Let's be quick and fast about this - Tackle, Dec!"

A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
Weather: Clear || Time: Night || Rolled Battles
Zigzagoon used tackle! It hits! Zigzagoon deals 3 damage! Snorlax's HP is now 29! Snorlax used Block! Zigzagoon can no longer escape!
The sudden strike surprised the snorlax. It didn't.... seem to hurt as Decibel bounced back off of the snorlax's body, but it did hurt enough that the snorlax began to move. Standing up to his full height, the snorlax let out a mighty roar that seemed to shake the very ground. He stomped one of his feet and a weak, old branch fell on the path behind Farrah. Then, the snorlax's eyes had the strangest faint red.They were trapped. The only way this was going down was if one of them won the battle.

Flinching, Farrah took a step back away from the giant, away from the sheer force of the roar - only to jolt forward with a gasp at the crash of the branch behind them. Their head whipped around, before looking back to the Snorlax, and its.... terrifying eyes. This was the plan anyway... but this was it. It was one way or the other.
"Ziiiiig! Goon!" Decibel barked at Farrah, drawing their trainers attention. He looked at them with determined, sharp eyes, and despite the frantic beating of the musician's heart, they nodded quietly. He was right. They made their decision... it was time to roll with it to the utmost of their ability. "Alright, Dec, let's do this!"
Fiercely, the zigzagoon's fur bristled as he whipped back around on the Snorlax, teeth pulled back and growling fiercely. His bright eyes seemed to pierce with a malicious glare, sneering in anger at the giant Pokemon, leering at him, as if to say "You ain't so bad. I'm every bit as bad as you and then some!"

Zigzagoon used Leer! It hits! Snorlax's Defense was lowered by 1 stage! Defense is now 15! Snorlax uses Screech! It hits! Zigzagoon's Defense was lowered by 2 stages! Defense is now 7!
While the Leering eyes of Decibel seemed to startle the Snorlax slightly, he soon took in a massive breath and released a massive screeching roar that seemed to shake the very trees. Nearby pokemon began to move away from the scene of the fight, frightened by the noises of the fighting pokemon.The Snorlax slammed a foot down and seemed to prepare to take this fight more seriously.

Decibel seemed to be a bit more proud of himself at the reaction from the Snorlax. Farrah was proud of his ferocity too, feeling like the two were beginning to pick up stride - until the deafening roar had them covering their ears, and Decibel wincing with a little growl. "Arceus damn, you big ol' fella," Farrah said towards the Snorlax, once their ears stopped ringing. "That's a helluva voice you've got there! Alright, I see now."
They looked towards Decibel, checking him for damage, and found him to also be recovering, stomping his own much smaller paw in response to the Snorlax. A twinge of amusement went through the trainer. "Well, we ain't winnin' in volume here, so let's try n' win in spirit! Let's go Decibel, full throttle!"
Bouncing side to side like an athlete psyching themselves up, Decibel's eyes narrowed with a snappy little bark, and then he lunged forward towards the significantly bigger Pokemon!

Decibel's tackle went right into the belly, but like before he seemed to bounce off. Right after the snorlax opened his mouth and as a ghostly power began to develop around it and a phantasmal tongue appeared, trying to give Decibel a good lick. However... the ghostly tongue passed through Decibel with no harm.The snorlax seemed surprised at this. Hm. No matter.

Decibel looked equally surprised at the way the lick went absolutely through him. The raccoon-dog paused to look himself over, before looking at the Snorlax with a look of renewed ferocity and vigor. "Zaa-aag!!" he barked - as if to say, "Hah! You can't touch me!"
Farrah held a hand over their throat and let out a sigh. It was the first actual attack, and Dec seemed absolutely fine! Alright, they could do this. "Keep it up, bud!" Needing no encouragement, Decibel leapt forward once again! It was... actually kind of fun to use the Snorlax as a trampoline like this, but he was determined to have the upper paw!

Please make a final post responding how you escape from the area. You are in a safe zone, so there will be no added danger to your escape. Don't forget to add Finished at the bottom of the post!
Perhaps mocking a creature about seven times your size was not the wisest decision. As Decibel attacked again, once again bouncing off the belly, the snorlax gave a loud snort and altered his stance just slightly. He took in a deep breath and moved his claws up, then lunged forward.
His claws glowed in a strange light as he smacked Decibel as hard as he could, knocking out the zigzagoon in one fell swoop. Taking a moment to assess the situation, the snorlax turned his attention to Farrah, eyeing them as if contemplating on attacking. It seemed to decide they weren't worth it as it let out a defiant roar, like a warning, and walked off deeper into the forest, each footfall causing the ground to shake slightly.

Farrah stood, absolutely frozen at the sheer volatile violence with which the battle had taken a turn for the worse. Decibel had just... been smacked out of the air like he was nothing but an annoying gnat. Like it had actually been nothing. Did - was the Snorlax just toying with them the whole time? They froze, eyes wide as the Snorlax turned its eyes on them. For a long moment, the only thing Farrah could think was 'I'm about to die. This is it.'
They stood against the massive roar, trying hard not to flinch - or to just fall to their knees. They could barely feel their legs. They closed their eyes, flinching and looking away... and listened as the footsteps rumbled. Rumbled... away? Farrah peeled one eye open barely, to see the Snorlax trudging off into the forest.
As the shock factor wore off, a new panic set in. Oh no, Decibel!!!
Farrah nearly sprinted to where they found the zigzagoon prone on the ground, falling to their knees in front of them, gathering the Pokemon up in their arms. "Oh, buddy, I'm so sorry I shouldn't have ever-- oh Dec. You're such a good boy, you're so strong. Hang in there, kid, it's gonna be okay..."
Quickly, Farrah returned Decibel to his Luxury Ball - for perhaps the first time since they'd become partners. And immediately after, getting to their feet, they looked around for a few of the berries the Snorlax had knocked free during the fight. Maybe some would help Decibel, if they needed to if the center was taking too long to get to. In some of the berries went to their satchel - quick but observant.
And then, Farrah was off - quickly and carefully picking their way through the forest, and then taking off at a dead run for as long as they could handle towards town. Their own fears aside, Decibel's health mattered more than anything, and getting to a Pokemon Center was the top priority. They could deal with their own issues from the woods later.
