Farrah was just heading over towards the Pokemon Research wing of the lab, after finishing their meeting with Professor Yew. Their mood couldn't be brighter, and their steps felt lighter than a feather. The meeting had gone well - fantastic, even! There was so much progress to be made and things to do and more meetings to setup and - ah! It was all so overwhelming. But in that really good, productive fuzzy feeling kind of way. They loved it.
But first thing was first; to get a couple of their new Pokemon checked out by lab techs for general health and to ask about diet and environment. It was only the best for Farrah's team, and she wanted to make sure that everyone was properly taken care of. At her feet were two canine Pokemon - an extremely large silky looking Galarian Zigzagoon who likely wasn't far off from evolving, and a young, sprightly looking Houndour padding along closely. It wouldn't hurt to get Decibel, the Zigzagoon, checked out too, Farrah mused as they walked into one of the research areas.
"Hey kiddos, you ready for your own form of doctor visits?" Farrah smiled down at their two Pokemon. "Ain't gonna cause any problems. Just makin' sure you're all checked out and healthy as a horse. I have to do the same thing too y'know. So it isn't a torture! And isn't an issue at all." Elegy the Houndour waggled his stubby tail in return with a soft little growl of playfulness. "That's the spirit, bud."

As Farrah stepped into the room where the lab techs did most of their work, he spotted an appropriately labelled nerd speaking with them already. He wore a thick, white mareep-wool jacket and had a pair of large glasses. A pair of sturdy, yet hole-covered pants, and a good pair of hiking boots. In his arms was Everest. She was glaring at the researchers while Sebby attempted to pet her calmingly.
"I don't know why she's being so upset with me right now." He mumbled, scratching under his partner's chin.
"Who knows. At least Sushi was good. I thought he'd be more uncooperative than this." The attendant had a tank up on the table for the fish to swim around in. Said fish was watching the sneasel from the far end warily, ready to teach her a lesson again!!!
"Yeah. Ev Come on, please? You met them before, you know them. Just let them check on you real quick"
"SNEA! SEL, SNEASEL!" Sebastian sighed, shaking his head and continuing to try and soothe his ornery cat.

Oh, that looked like it was quite the issue, didn't it? Farrah felt a bit bad - not having meant to quite stumble right in to someone else's work. At first they thought perhaps... it would be a good idea to come back later? When things weren't going on? But then they got an eye on the Pokemon that the fellow with the comfortable looking jacket was holding. Oh! They looked like a dark type. That immediately piqued Farrah's interest. The idea of leaving was immediately gone (and she would perhaps, deal with the guilt that might come with that later), replaced with pure curiosity. They wondered what was going on that had the little one misbehaving in such a way.
Decibel stayed by Farrah's side, looking over the happenings with a wary expression. Was it worth bothering with to him? Unless the Sneasel really got rowdy, not particularly. He was about to huff his nonchalance to his trainer when Farrah's other Pokemon, Elegy, broke away to go sniffing at the person and his Sneasel, and the aids, and the tank, and- well. "Elegy-" Farrah went to reprimand... and froze when they realized, ah, yes. That meant that they were now an active participant in the room. Whoops.
Sighing and rubbing the back of their neck, Farrah approached the nice-looking nerd with his cat and the lab techs. "I'm real sorry for approachin' while you're all workin' in the middle of something here. My pup's still pretty young, doesn't seem to realize he ought to wait his turn. Certainly wasn't our intention to gatecrash." Farrah glanced down at Elegy, where the Houndour was now sitting on the ground in the middle of everyone, his stubby little tail going at the speed of blur, looking between Farrah, the lab techs, and the other trainer with equal curious joy. He... certainly didn't mean ill at all. Was just an overexcited puppy, afterall.
But now that Farrah was here... "Your lil' one doin' alright though? I saw that she wasn't puttin up with anything when I walked by the door. She's a real cutie. Love her fur coloration."

Sebastian's first reaction to suddenly pokemon sniffing him was to squeak and hug Everest tighter. Until he realized just how adorable this little Houndour was and he relaxed as it seemed not only non-hostile, but downright friendly. However this didn't mean Everest was any happier about being squeezed, or the initial 'threat' to her trainer. In a moment she was out of his arms and glaring at the other pokemon, about to leer when Seb quickly scooped her back up.
"Nonononononono, don't make me put you back in your ball, no fighting the nice pokemon in the lab, it was just cleaned." He said quickly, holding her close. She glared at Elegy. No more funny business...
Seb turned his attentions to the owner of said Elegy. "N-n-no, you're fine, h-he just startled us." He said, looking at the Houndour with inquisitive eyes. "B-but t-thank you. Yeah she uh... she's being kinda.. uhm.... fussy." While his eyes were on the sneasel, he didn't seem to notice the small pink worm that poked its head out of his jacket and looked at Farrah. Then Decibel. Then Elegy. Then decide to wriggle his way free and start his slow, meandering way down to go poke Elegy in the face with his boopsnoot. He was determined... and also kinda slow so give him like, five posts.
"She is a sneasel though, so it isn't a surprise. They're supposed to be kinda hard to get to listen, considering how aggressive they can be in the wild since they're predators. It helps that she's a young sneasel, but she's still kinda.... non...listeny.... William what are you doing?"

Elegy immediately tensed up at the hostility shown by the Sneasel, his little furry brow narrowing with suspicion and head tilting to the side. Oh, there was not great energy here. And he hadn't been doing anything! Aw... He only relaxed when the trainer scooped her back up, but just barely, as if he expected the attack to come at any moment if he wasn't prepared. Farrah's other Pokemon - the Galarian Zigzagoon, stepped over to stand next to Elegy and look up at the strange trainer. Decibel didn't make any threatening movements... but he did watch Everest with an even, unimpressed stare.
"Oh jeez, I'm really sorry," Farrah apologized, glancing down at their two Pokemon with a stern look of warning. "I didn't mean at all for us to startle you or set y'all off. Wasn't our intention in the slightest. I promise neither of em' mean any harm. Elegy just has... a bit more curiosity than he does manners." They raised their hands in a symbol of apology and deference, before tilting their head as they noticed some movement on the boy's coat. What was... oh! There was another Pokemon there. That was a bit unexpected. They found themselves listening idly to the fellow as they watched the slow inching progress of this unknown bug Pokemon. "Ah," they said after a moment, looking back up to look Sebastian in the face. "A couple of mine can be that way too, I understand. A... Sneasel, you said? And a predator at that. She seems very fascinating. If I might ask, what type of Pokemon is she? Er... elemental type, that is, you already told me the species type. Sorry again." Farrah chuckled quietly as they waved off their own words.
She did pause though as she heard him mention the little bug - William, was it then? They bit back an amused smile. "He's off on a lil' adventure there. Doin' his absolute best, the cute lil fella."

Sebby idly reached back to pet Will a second. "Ah, Sneasel is an Ice Dark type, the only pokemon with that typing." He said excitedly, starting to relax as he spoke about this topic. "Your two are dark types as well, though! Houndour are Dark and Fire, while the Gallar variant of Zigzagoon are Dark and normal. The little Houndour seems really friendly too, opposing to the normal stereotype of Dark types being rather aggressive overall, which is nice to see, since some are generally very misunderstood. Like the professor's Absol, which are known for causing disasters instead of what they really do, which is try and warn people of them when they happen, not that I think most people used to understand that. Hopefully with the reappearance it'll be easier to convince people of otherwise for misunderstood pokemon species."
And meanwhile on Bug Cam, Will. Was makin his way down the pants. On a mission.

"Indeed," Farrah nodded. "I'd like to consider myself a dark-type specialist in the making. I certainly have the most rapport with Pokemon of their disposition and typing, anyway. No Pokemon is truly 'evil' or bad, and indeed, misunderstood misfits seem to be my type." She cocked her head to the side as she looked over Everest again with a much more honed curious look now. "A unique Pokemon indeed... And a dark type! It must be fate."
Farrah leaned back for a moment as they took in the stranger's Pokemon, new to the musician indeed, before they let out a quiet chuckle and offered a hand to Sebastian, a crooked grin on their face. "Name's Farrah, by the way. Pleasure to meet you, even if under surprised circumstance. The Zigzagoon is Decibel, and the Houndour's name as you heard, is Elegy."
The two Pokemon in question had their eyes on Will now; like dogs on a mark, ears perked, attentively watching with rapt curiosity where the lil' worm was going.

Sebastian took the offered hand and gave a firm shake. "It's nice to meet you too... My name's Sebastian." He held up Everest.
"The Sneasel is Everest. This little wurmple is William, and the Barboach is Sushi." Said sushi popped his head out of the water then went back under to keep swimming. Ignoring all these humans and their pokemon. While Sebastian turned his attention from the trainer to the two pokemon. Well, Three if one counted Will. He was extremely curious and wanted to get a good look at them, but felt it'd be rude to stare, so he lifted his eyes back to Farrah and adjusted his glasses.
"S-so what brought you to this area of the lab? Did you need a check up, b-because if so I am incredibly s-sorry about the trouble." He said somewhat nervously, hugging Everest a bit more. She looked up at him as if to ask why he was doing this to her.

Farrah relaxed at the handshake, before returning their hands to their pockets as they continued grinning, nodding cheerfully to the held up Sneasel. "A pleasure, Sebastian - and Everest, William, Sushi." Farrah bit back a chuckle at the Barboach's name. On one hand, it was very cute! On the other hand.... well. You know.
Curious about trainer and worm both, Elegy kept nosing closer and closer. Little tiny shuffles like a puppy who didn't want to get caught doing what it was doing... even though what it was doing wasn't stealthy in the slightest. His little edges and wiggles finally got him to his destination though; incredibly close to Sebastian's feet, looking up with those lil' doe eyes and wiggly stumpy tail.
"Ahhh," Farrah chuckled and shrugged her shoulders easily. "In a way. Elegy's fairly new to my team, but there's been some others I've also caught. But I don't know their dietary needs or life requirements yet, so I thought to come drop by to ask. But! I didn't have an appointment so it's all entirely on me, no trouble at all. My apologies again for dropping in right atop your own check-in!"

"N-no you're fine! If y-you don't mind I can help, I-I would just have to grab my c-coat first... Oh thank you." He had put Everest on the table quickly and taken off his comfortable jacket, being handed a lab coat. "I-I don't m-mind at all, I just wanted a second opinion on e-everest and S-sushi since w-we just came from the Maw. It's where I got Sushi."
While Elegy got a wurmple right in his face. doin a big look at him. then inching forward to first boop dat lil snoot, then start extending out to climb onto the fire-dark type fearlessly. Seb glanced down, and had Elegy been behaving at all hostilely he'd be worried for his lil Will. But... this probably wouldn't backfire. probably. maybe. Most probably not.
