Your encounter has begun! A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
It was... hot. Very hot. The temperature was climbing higher and higher the more the sun rose, but at least it was the morning. That meant it was a nice, cool 98 degrees. The information center had warned the desert could get up to 110 degrees in the day and down to 40 at night. At least they provided plenty of water...
But out here there wasn't another soul in sight. There were some pokemon moving about the sand, some birds making the trip from the desert to the meadows or the jungle, some going towards the mountains. It was beautiful, open, and safe.
The desert itself had all the main desert biomes, shrubbery, rocks, and sand. Anyone could move freely between these areas, maybe in hopes of finding different pokemon, but either way... it was hot. Better drink some water! What will you do?

It was insufferably hot, but it was worth it for how happy it was making Aquila. She looked so happy, it wasn't like he could be mad. When he'd heard about this place where it'd be safe to be in the desert, there wasn't much choice for him to make other than to being his sigilyph there. She was looking around brightly at the sand and rocks and all of that. And she was happy. He wandered behind her, smiling to himself and humming as he kept an eye on his young pokemon. Pulled out his bag and took a drink quickly to prevent dehydration. "We can't stay long Quil, it's hot as all hell. But we'll stay for a little bit girl." He promised. She turned and swayed happily, then began exploring and psychically playing with the sand. Made herself a sand castle. |

A wild Rockruff appears! You have 3 actions to take! A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
The heat wasn't anything to native desert pokemon, therefore, it was nothing to the proud Rockruff that was running among the sands, exercising her legs in the difficult terrain. Her pack was further on the rocks, enjoying a morning of lounging and sun soaking, but she wanted to get out and move! The sand proved to be fun. If she slipped, she would slide down and be able to run up again! Sadly, she wasn't able to stop one of her descents on the dune before crashing into a sand castle.
Sitting up and spitting out some sand, she gave a sorry whine at the poor pokemon that she had disrupted. Oh! And a human! With sand forming a neat pile on her head, she looked at them with sad puppy eyes, hoping this would alleviate any sort of anger or rage. Her pack was far enough off they may not be able to arrive in time to protect her. What will you do?

Diell took one look at this little Rockruff who had tumbled into the scene and immediately melted. "Why hello there little one! What're you?" He knelt and looked over her from his distance to make sure she wasn't hurt from the tumble. Aquila was mildly upset, but upon her trainer's lack of caring she grumped and turned to make another sandcastle, not wanting to ruin her good mood with this puppy.
"And more importantly, how are you this adorable." He finished his thought, offering his hand to let the puppy sniff it. Dogs liked sniffing people right? It was a dog... right? it kinda looked like one from any picture he'd looked at so far. he didn't wanna scare it... but Arceus this little thing was adorable.

She was, thankfully, not hurt. She was used to the rough and tumble life this strange desert offered. If you walked a bit in one direction you would find fresh water and trees, and if you went too far another it'd be cold. So, relatively speaking, she would be fine no matter what. This place was like a paradise of fun games and tumbles. But the human didn't seem angry so, that was good too!
Her tail wagged once, knocking some sand around, as she reached her head forward to sniff at the human's hand. They smelled strange, but not bad! She sat back, watching them curiously. There didn't seem to be any danger here... she was sure her pack wouldn't mind her staying here for a bit longer. What will you do?

Diell smiled. "You want a treat little.... Aquila what is this?"
His pokemon looked at him like he was crazy, then shook her.... head? Sure, head. Either way, Di pulled out a treat and offered it to the little puppy. He wasn't sure what she was. but she seemed just so happy. She deserved a berry. They were getting more popular as they grew in and it was a joy to have somewhat more affordable, actually good food. So he was more than willing to share with this little rockruff as he pulled out his pokedex to see what the hell she was. Rockruff.... huh... Eh, who cared if it was hard to raise, it was so freaking cute and sweet right then. And it wasn't like he was a stranger to the concept of having a rough upbringing. Maybe he'd bring this lil bundle of joy with him.

Oh, a treat? She sniffed at the berry, her tail giving another wag as she took a bite of it. Oh! Ugh. She swallowed what she had bit off, but pushed the berry away with a paw. She did not... enjoy that flavor! It wasn't the human's fault, of course, they probably didn't know. She stuck her tongue out and gave a whine. The thought was nice but... ugh, no thank you. She hoped the human understood. It wasn't her trying to be rude it was just...
Oof, her tummy... the Rockruff gave a small boof at the human. She was a hunter! She ate meat! And sometimes different kinds of berries. Sometimes fish. This was the way of nature! Just the other day her pack had taken down a Zebstrika and they ate well for a week! What will you do?

Diell tilted his head a bit at her dislike. Then shrugged. "Didn't like that one? It's ok, I don't blame you. Too sweet for me. I carry them around for Aquila. She has the worst sweet tooth." He smiled conspiringly and glanced to his Sigilyph at his teasing. She just ignored him in favor of making another sandcastle. He shifted a bit closer and then sat down, crossing his legs and offering a hand of invite, pulling out a brush from his bag. "Here, how about I show you something I showed my Thor." Kinda offered the brush to be sniffed, then leaned in a little and brushed her once to let her see how she liked it or not. If she didn't he wouldn't mind, and he'd put it away. But it'd get some of the sand out of her fur, and be kinda like grooming. So maybe she'd like it!

She sniffed the strange object the human had, tilting her head in confusion that had that small pile of sand fall back to the ground. She made another boof in confusion as the human brushed her. The sensation was so weird! She backed up in shock, running her paws over her head to return some dirt to it. How strange! Did humans do this a lot? She looked at the human very curiously now. Her mother had told her that humans were strange creatures but she didn't know they were this strange! At least they didn't seem dangerous or harmful, but what off contraptions they had!
She sat back down and gave another whine, tilting her head fully now. How odd...

Diell chuckled at her reaction and sat back, kinda amused. didn't like that one huh. Or more, didn't understand it. "How about this little one. Do you wanna explore?" he asked, not knowing if she could understand him or not. "I can show you how the rest of the world is. It isn't as safe, but you'll always have me and Aquila and the others to protect you. And plenty of new friends to make on the way. But that's up to you if you wanna come with." He offered the puppy one of his pokeballs. "And we can find out what foods you like best. And you'd see all kinds of things."

Morning || Clear Capture Success! Please add Rockruff to your tracker! A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
Oh? What a strange offer! She sniffed the ball curiously and then thought about it... she could leave here and explore the world or stay safe with her parents. But this human seemed nice...
She turned away for a moment and let out a howl. A few moments of silence passed before it was returned 30 strong. Suddenly, as if rounding the top of the sand dune, came her pack. Her parents, her siblings, her cousins... everyone! They watched her curiously as she ran up the dune, bumping noses with her family. She spoke to them for a few minutes in quiet barks and boofs. It didn't take long for one of them, a midday lycanroc to give the human an ice-cold stare, as if a warning....
Her family gave her a few good luck kisses on the snoot before she wagged her tail and ran back to the human, tripping partly down the dune and rolling fast before she managed to--in midair--slap a paw on the ball. She was drawn inside in a flash.
The Safari ball shook once... twice... and then clicked.
As if understanding one of their own was now in new hands, the pack began to leave, except the midday lycanroc. She stars at Diell and narrows her eyes at him before leaving.
The desert now felt just as empty as it did before.

At her howl he looked startled, but when he saw what she was doing he couldn't help but smile. Even at what he could only assume was her mother's glare, he just smiled and gave her a respectful nod. And then laugh aloud as she smacked herself into the ball, looking down at it with already growing fondness. He'd make sure to take good care of her, and let her come back and visit as often as she liked and was convenient for them both. For now though, he tucked the ball in with the others and bowed respectfully to the Midday before she left. "I'll make sure I take good care of your little one!" he called after her before he turned to his partner.
"Had enough playing in the sand? Cause the Jungle isn't too far away, and we might see more wild pokemon. You have to admit you're curious."
The pokemon seemed to think before she swayed in place and followed as he made his way towards the equally hot but not as dry area. if anything... a little too not dry.

Morning || Clear You have moved to the Jungle! A Wild Castform Appears! You have 3 actions to take. A Wild Pokemon Appeared!
It was a sunny day, but not so sunny it had resulted in any sort of transformation for the strange creature floating around the jungle. The thick canopy helped out a lot. Yet he floated right on the edge of the jungle, where the dense vegetation met the hot, dry sands and rocks of the desert.
The change was sudden and clear cut, so it would be no surprise to be walking in the desert one minute to fall onto a soft bed of leaves. The grass here was soft and covered in fallen leaves, the trees being thick and dense as they created a blockade of sorts against the desert. That was where this castform was, and it was here that he saw a human wandering close.
Curious about the new arrival from the desert, the castform floated through the shade over towards the human and the pokemon. "Cast!"

It was amazing what had been created here. Absolutely amazing. Diell smiled as they got to the soft grass, reaching out to feel a tree before he spotted the castform. His smile broadened. "Well hello to you too! What are you?" He took a step closer to get a better look at it. "Don't you seem friendly, little guy!" Aquila wasn't so sure of this, narrowing her eye, but she let her partner do as he would and investigate the floating white pokemon.
Once close enough he offered it a hand to investigate itself, taking out his water with the other hand and taking a drink of it. Was a lot cooler already under the shade. "You want some too, little one?" He offered, holding it slightly out to it.

The pokemon frowned and looked at the water bottle, seeming to misunderstand the question and floating back a little more. Was that a.... weapon!? Was this human planning to harm him!? The castform now looked incredibly anxious and scared, floating back enough to hide behind a large fern leaf, poking his head out of the foliage to study the human and his pokemon carefully.
Were they friend or foe? There were some tough creatures out there in the desert, after all. Some angry, hungry predators, too.
