An already hostile mountain, Mt. Veerie became inhospitable after Pokémons’ disappearance. With no fire for warmth, no protection against the blizzards, avalanches, and other disasters, the old town of Frorehearth was forced to evacuate. The ruins and mountains are still explorable, however, for those prepared enough - or foolhardy enough - to brave the climb.
Hoarfrost Footpaths The paths going up the mountain are barely visible at the best of times. Generally, they are demarcated only some of the way by ranger supply boxes, and where the land flattens into something of a walkable surface. The snow is deep, the wind biting, and there is always the threat of an avalanche or worse. But it is pretty, at least, when the weather calms, and the few trees still surviving glitter with delicate ice crystals that gleam under light. Common: 1 - 47 Day / Clear: 1 - 13

Rhinestone Caverns About mid-way up the mountain, the path diverges. The footpaths continue outside - but there is a shortcut, deep into Mt. Veerie’s heart. These caverns and dips can be found all across the mountain, but none are bigger than the labyrinthine thermal vents that open into the massive open cavern at the extinct volcano’s core. It is a shortcut to the summit, but a dangerous one - as beautiful as the caverns glittering with natural gemstones are, it is incredibly simple to become hopelessly turned around. And in the caverns not attached to the path… it is all too easy to get snowed in. Common: 1 - 48 Day / Clear: 1 - 12

Frorehearth Ruins At the summit of Mt. Veerie lies the ruins of the town of Frorehearth. Once the Toplossers' proud ancestral home, barely anything remains that is not buried by snow. A town once known for warm hearths and hearts, the cold has taken over without Pokémon - excavation teams and historians have made some progress, but it is slow going. For each old stone building uncovered, another is buried even further, and the infernal blizzards are eternally a dangerous threat. And beneath it all… they still say the bodies of those who went missing around the ruins remain, fated never to be found in the cold. Common: 1 - 48 Day / Clear: 1 - 12
