As they walked through the halls of her gym, Sebastian relaxed visible. As did the hungry pokemon, who was quick to learn to wait until he was called. Because he was so very very hungry. But it was working, he only had eyes for Seb. And waited patiently before following his trainer so that he'd get more treats. Only glancing over when Mya talked, before looking back at Sebastian.
He honestly needed to visit with Mya more often, he'd missed hanging out with her. The way he never had to guess what she thought of anything. How easy it was to just... exist. Especially now that the tension in the air had broken. "I'll do my best," he said in response to her warning, "Hopefully he's old enough to self-moderate, but somehow I doubt it." Seb idly reached over and gave more chin scritches, which seemed to be a quick favorite.
"Honestly, it's... relieving." He sighed out, "Being able to have him out. I've been so stressed out thinking about him. Not just the whole... attacking everything, thing. But I haven't been able to give him a physical, or check him over. I have no idea how healthy he is, if he's malnourished or injured. For all I know, he could be really sick and I just... wouldn't be able to tell you. And I haven't wanted to take him to a pokemon center, or take him out at the lab in case something went wrong." Seb looked at his pokemon with so much love in his eyes. Soft and warm and caring.
"And then learning he's a baby? Learning he's just... fussy? It's a massive weight off my shoulder. I'm gonna head back to the lab, afterwards, and get him a full physical." Put his hand on the pokemon's shoulder. "I know Beelze was and still is underweight. Thankfully, Cuddles was fine, but I think she was from the ocean. I have no idea the situation these two came from... but I'm kinda gathering that it wasn't good. And I can't figure out the whole of what happened. But I'm not liking the picture I have." He admitted. Ev patted the side of his head in reassurance, but the other two seemed unphased. After all, they didn't know. But they were sweet things, really.

"If you trust in yourself. . .and believe in your dreams. . .and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy." -Terry Pratchett, The Wee Free Men Mama said it was okay, that it was quite alright
She listened and watched while they (more like everyone else) walked. Mya rested her chin on her hand and a leg up on Eon's shell, firmly planting her boot along one of the grooves. Her expression was neutral, but she was paying very close attention. Sebastian's body language looked more relaxed now and even this beast of a pokemon was obeying him, too. Good signs. She had missed her nerdy friend, but she felt herself rest easy when studying Buckshot. A pokemon like this was a powerful force and would be able to keep him safe. The Stufful too once it evolved. She could only hope he was ready to control them. When pokemon evolved, they tended to cop an attitude sometimes. Weak trainers wouldn't be obeyed. She had faith in Sebastian, of course, but he had to work on his own confidence first. Strength, weakness, it meant nothing. A pokemon would listen to a trainer who had faith in themselves and their team. But one that didn't? Or one who didn't take anything seriously? It would only hurt the bond.
Her pokemon were all teenagers, she had recognized this. Not in age, of course, but in evolution. In the very middle of their final forms. Eon had swelled in size and he was growing even larger. By all accounts, he was growing too fast and too big for normal Shelgon, but he was of perfect health. Atlas was doing fine, traditional minus his personality not matching up with what was normal and Wormy was... Wormy.
"You're his guardian now, Seb," she said as they exited the gym and Eon led the way to the butcher's. "Keep up his training, do not let him slip up as he grows bigger. He might start to test you a bit, see what he can get away with. That's the challenging part. They're still dangerous, you know." She smiled at Buckshot. "Fun! But dangerous."
They made it to the butcher's and Mya jumped off of Eon's shell, holding up a hand as she slipped inside, spoke to the butcher for a moment, and then came back out. "Out back," she said, leading the way around the building, as they walked she said, "Now--Seb--don't let him eat until you give the order. I know he's hungry, but you can't let him go wild around food. Its something we teach human kids, too, ya know? Not to eat all the cookies before dinner? Self-restraint? We'll start with five pounds and go until he slows down. Let him digest and keep going. Got it?" She said as they came to the back. "Tommy said to call when we're ready. Keep a handle on him. Tommy's a little... skittish around big pokemon. So... ya know."

As they walked, Buckshot responding more and more readily, he started smiling again. Reached over and pet the big old lug. "I've got him. I think I'm getting the hang of it, now." He reassured. And well... he always had been better with pokemon, once he got used to them. "I can't thank you enough for all the help today, Mya. I... panicked, and bad." He admitted, "I'll try to stop by more often, though." He smiled over at his friend with a bright look.
Once there, he led his new pokemon around the back and sat him down with another treat. If he was lucky, Buckshot would still be in call and response mode, and he could just feed him at his pace. Which was likely, he was acting... He was acting like he was young. Really young. It made it easier to train him. "Alright, I think we're ready, now. Right Buckshot? I'm sure you're hungry, buddy." he gave more scritches gently.
"Definitely ready." Seb reassured, in part for himself. He wasn't nervous, necessarily. but he was cautious. And well, he didn't know this person. Mya was there if something went wrong, though. So Everything would be just fine. He kept a close hold on Buckshot, kinda keeping his head low and against his other shoulder. Which seemed comfortable for both parties, the young fossil just leaning down and closing his eyes in content.

"Eh," she said with a shrug and a small smile, "don't worry about it. All this is still pretty new for us, ya know? We didn't get the benefit of growing up around pokemon so... panicking in the face of something brand new and dangerous is normal." A memory of her visit to the island ran through her mind... Yeah... it was normal. People would react differently, of course. Panic, anxiety, worry--every single person had it. Maybe it was her upbringing, but Mya's response was fight and fight only. Only thanks to her pokemon has she been able to tamp that down a little. Still, that Mimikyu was still pretty livid at her.
"I hope you do!" She said as she leaned by the large metal door. "I miss your nerdy face." Giving them both a minute to get settled, Mya banged on the door with her fist and it flung open. A crazed young man ran out, threw about five pounds of raw meat on the ground, and ran back inside. The sound of about 10 locks clicked and Mya chuckled. Yeah. Tommy. Sweet guy.
Her eyes went to Buckshot. A look crossed her face. A silent warning that she was paying close attention. And this would be the biggest test. Buckshot in front of food. Actual food. Eon watched with her, knowing that he was watching for any threats that may be poised in this moment, though the Shelgon was not too terribly concerned.
"Let him at it, Seb. We'll feed him till his belly's full."

At the further reassurances, Sebastian relaxed with a smile. "I've missed hanging out with you too, Mya." He said sincerely as he leaned back against the big dinosaur. Which got him a warm grawrl, and a little mlem from Buckshot. "So sweet, now." A little amazed. A little amused.
Though he half-recoiled at the startled young man who threw some meat out the door. He stared, wide-eyed, uncertain how to proceed for a moment. Though even as Mya looked over, the pokemon didn't seem to know how to proceed either. Blinked at the new friend?-shape? Before his eyes snapped down to the food with a near-audible growl of his stomach.
Both unfroze after a moment, and Mya's voice. Sebastian took a step to the side, letting go of his pokemon's head. Who was quick to surge forward, tearing into one of the pieces of meat. Thrashed his head back and forth. Before tossing it up and swallowing the piece. Buckshot licked his lips quickly, giving a last head shake before he settled down to eat peacefully. His wings fanned out around the meal protectively. Blocking the view.
It took less time than expected for him to lift his head, licking the blood off it. The wings shifted to support him again as he sniffed for more, whining into the air. Buckshot turned and then whined at Sebastian, who's eyes melted. "I know buddy, I know." Buckshot whined higher, moving back and then nudging at his trainer's hand. When presented with nothing, he turned to Mya and did the same. Waddled over then started nudging at her hand as well.

She smiled and shrugged a bit, just happy she was able to help. Her eyes stayed on Buckshot as he darted towards the food. The protective behavior would be something to work on later, but for now he had enough training for the day in her opinion. She patted the beast's head as he approached and gave a tsk. "Alright you big baby." She banged on the door again and more food was tossed out, another five pounds. "Eat up, hon. I got all day."
She leaned back against Eon and let out a sigh. What an eventful day... she gave a soft smile as the food kept being delivered and the group could finally settle a bit. Mya didn't have many friends, but she was grateful for all the ones she did. Sebastian, Arris... that weird guy that she was pretty sure lived in the woods somewhere... Diell? Yeah. Him. She chuckled to herself. What a life!
