Welcome to Sol-Lune Park! The pride and joy of Sunhaven! This fantastic park is perfect for a family-fun time complete with games, prizes, food, rides, and more! In this location, you can encounter different pokémon depending on the current holiday festivities or the regular fray that call this place home. Like in other Civilization areas, battling is forbidden, but you can always do an Out Of Combat (OOB) capture instead! This park is very unique compared to other areas, so click the spoiler to learn more! The Location Sol-Lune Park is a large park settled near a wharf outside of Sunhaven. With the iconic lighthouse in the distance, it is quite the location! Half of the area is location on solid land--where the roller coasters and rides are--and the back half is located on the actual wharf. This place is filled with places to see shows, games, places to eat, you name it! There is also a beach connected to the park where people can have a picnic, walk along the water, and just have a grand ol' time. The water here is much safer to swim in and is guarded by several lifeguards and their trusted water pokemon. Due to their protection, there is no danger of getting attacked when swimming or out on a paddle boat. The park will have a change of face around two holidays: Halloween and the Winter Festival. During these times, the pokémon you encounter will be different, too! Games and Prizes You can earn real prizes on this board by playing some games! More details are located below in the Games and Prizes tables, but the general idea is that you use the dice system to see if you win something! Now, in character, even if you don't win on the dice you can still win in-character. So you can walk away with a stuffed animal, tickets for free food or a ride, etc. But in the overworld of the game you wouldn't win any prizes for your character like EXP, eggs, etc. The games and prizes for this board aren't set in stone! You can make any game you want and it will obey the "Free Space" game rolls and prizes. Keep in mind, these rolls are only for threads in the park itself and will not impact or affect any holiday events and prizes! The Rides and Shows You can create any rides or shows you want for your thread, but here are some ideas to get you started! The Staraptor Dive - this high-speed roller coaster will have you feeling like a Staraptor diving for its prey! With an open floor design, let your legs dangle as you rocket through loops and dives that will take you up to 102 miles per hour! Wow! Squirtle's Adventure - a water ride is perfect for the hot summer months as you join Squirtle (an animatronic) on a fun adventure through the Broadmarsh swamp as he tries to find his friend Buizel! This ride has gentle twists, turns, and leads up to a huge finale that will be sure to soak you to the bone as you drop 50 feet into a river! Ponyta Races - these little cars can go fast! Pick your Ponyta Racer and get into the driver's seat as you compete bumper-to-bumper with your fellow drivers to race across the finish! Hoppip's Glide - this swing ride makes you feel like you're flying just like a flurry of Hoppip through the air! Incredibly relaxing if you aren't afraid of heights. The Tunnel of Luvdiscs - a traditional tunnel of love, what else can we say? Mimikyu's House of Horrors - everyone loves a horror house! Mr. Rime's Mirror Maze - please do not run in the mirror maze.
Sol-Lune Park (January - August) For a majority of the year, the park boats its primary mascots and decor: A Solrock and Lunatone alongside colorful colors that would make even a Blacephalon feel the joy this place radiates. With an open layout, there's plenty of room to move around, sit down, eat, whatever you can imagine (as long as you follow the rules and regulations of the park)! Common: 1 - 24 Day / Clear: 1 - 12

Halloween (September - October) Spine-tingling thrills fill the park during this time of year! Spiderwebs and skeletons are common sights in the park as well as long lines for the famous haunted house. All the food, drinks, and shows become themed for the season as pumpkin spice flavored things are rampant. Remember: all guests who wish to participate in alcohol have a band that only allows two purchases! Also, keep the scares family-friendly, okay? Common: 1 - 24 Day / Clear: 1 - 12

Winter Festival (November - December) The Winter Festival is a Sunhaven original! Floating lanterns are released onto the chilling water and are also hanged up in the chilly air. Each lanterns can be different colors, but the most popular ones are white, gold, blue, and orange. Some folks have even more fun and have red, green, purple, and pink! The park is covered in these lights as hot coco, hot apple cider, and gingerbread fills the park shops. The water rides are all shut down for this time of year, too. Games and Prizes Games are simple. Look at the rules, describe what you are doing with the game in character within the thread, and then put your dice at the end of your post. Once you roll your dice your post cannot be edited in any way shape or form. If it is, staff will not reward you with any prizes, included guaranteed EXP prizes. This includes editing for typos. Prizes do not stack. For example, if you roll 3 - 4 basketball hoops then you win the +30 EXP prize plus the guaranteed participation EXP prize. You do not win the rest of the prizes below your score. In character, you can decide if you win or not as this will not impact the dice roll in any way. For example, if you roll on Ducklett Shot and don't hit a single one, you can say you got all targets in-game and won the biggest stuffed Pikachu at the park. That's perfectly fine! However, not winning mechanically means you do not earn any prize listed on this board other than the participation prize. In order to qualify for the participation prize, you must actually put meat into the thread and the game. All games must be on this board. Due to this, journal entries do not count. You must rp with another player on this board and end the thread in order to earn your prizes. If you believe a thread has been abandoned, reach out to staff and we will award prizes to the remaining active player(s). Threads built for playing all the games to try and earn prizes is okay, but remember the threads must have actual meat and story to them. Threads built by people solely to put in the bare minimum just to roll some dice will not be rewarded. For example, a thread where characters wish to try their luck at the park to earn prizes and they are actively engaging with the game, world, and each other are fine! Threads where characters go "I go up to the game, I pay the money and throw the dart. I win. We laugh and I say, "Fun!" and quickly move to the next game" will not count.
Area Map and Lore Sol-Lune Park is a post-Rapture environment! It was built after Sunhaven lost its ability to remain a prominent port city due to the increasingly dangerous ocean. Now, they bring in most of their money through the park and the tourism it brings. Amazingly, the park is not associated with Salve Co, wrenching some independence for Sunhaven from the massive conglomerate. It is also 100% employee owned, meaning you don't have to worry about the treatment of the employees! There is a real sense of pride for those that work here as this is not only their livelihoods but their testament to their beloved city. All are welcome! |
