A Hedge Maze Appeared!
The stars that usually twinkled in the sky so late at night were... gone. A few shined through the thin wispy clouds, but even the moon seemed to be a bit hazy... in the bright light of this amazing park! People and children running past as they went to whatever event, ride, or game that they wanted to partake in. Candied apples were in dozen of hands and the mascots Solrock and Lunatone floated around, happily taking pictures with guests and assisting lost children in finding their parents. Yes, this place was filled with so much life and countless pokemon! Both wild and not. Yet, the rest of the park was not the point of this visit, oh no! The real attraction was on the grassy hills, laid out on the largest and flattest part of the green. Eight foot tall and two feet thick green hedges stood proudly and intimidatingly to those that didn't like random turns and getting lost. Yes, the Sol-Lune Park Hedge Maze was calling! And one ticket ready to go... Only five people were allowed inside at a time and when someone made it to the other end, the attendant at front would let another person enter. Yet the maze was so large and the entrances so staggered there was very little chance of running into anyone else. Pokemon or items on the other hand... With ticket delivered to the attendant at the front and a quick run-down of the rules it was time to begin! At the very front of the maze was a large sign as well: Remember!
The Pokemon of Sol-Lune Park are friends, not enemies!

The night was wearing on, but the fun had yet just begun! Arris and his little Spooktacular Team had already been having a blast at the park; fully in costume, there had been games to play, prizes to win, delicious treats of all kinds to gorge on, and delightfully terrifying fun rides… to immediately get sick after because of nausea induced by large amounts of motion and the aforementioned gorging on goodies.
But that didn't stop the indomitable team, no sir! Captain Arris and his motley ghost crew were here to plunder the depths of the labyrinth! The wagon had made a reappearance this year, with a fresh coat of DIY delight to turn it from paltry project to mechanical marvel, no longer the little makeshift wagon boat Arris had once pulled around, but a true beauty of a ghost ship, tattered and ragged and run fully-automated like an RC Car being controlled by the little Rotom in his new phone. And better the Rotom (Dexter, Arris had named him) than Skipper, lest there be… less than intended consequences. Was it still vehicular manslaughter if it was a ghost ship? Skipper was at the bow of the ship; the penguin had begun molting something fierce as he approached evolution, and it only added to the scraggly undead sailor look he donned. Behind him was Lookout Pepper in the crow's nest, scarf and sunglasses replaced by an eyepatch and a ragged pirate's coat; beneath Pepper, settled safely in its decorated incubator, visible below the grates in the deck, was the egg that the team had been so diligently watching. And walking beside Arris off the larboard side was First Mate Gains, every bit the undead sailor as the rest. Captain Arris looked every bit the part, from beads layered in his hair peeking from beneath his hat, to the flowing coat, the buckles, the ornate flintlock tucked into his belt, and the rum bottle of — water, this was a kid friendly park! — that he was taking sips from as the group's stomach settled from the last ride.
With one final swig, Arris winked at the attendant as he pretended to stagger, cackling with that mischevious mirth. "Aw-right ye scallawags, hoist the colors n' set free the sails! 'Tis time to conquer these blackened seas!" With a rousing call of approval from the Pokemon crew, the party sets off into the maze as their time begins! 'Tis certain indeed to be a rousing bout!

A Hedge Maze Appeared!
After the staff had finished cooking over the adorable costumes, it was time to get started! With ticket delivered and spent, the maze was open for Arris and his team to move on through. And the start of the maze started off rather... traditionally.
The right?
Or the left?
Both equally good options, but the fog and dim lights did very little to help offer hints about which way was correct. If anything, it just added to the mystery! Plus, the footprints from previous maze goes did not instill any sense of confidence either. After all... they went everywhere and trampled on top of each other so... only one way to find out! What will you do?

Left… right… left — or right?
No sooner had the team stepped foot into the fog that the first immediate conundrum approached. "Yargh," Arris said simply. It was a pretty solid conveyance. Pepper nodded in agreement. Yargh indeed.
It was the most classic choice of all time. Left or right? Where to go?
"Well, me mateys," Arris drawled with a laugh. "'Twould appear we've a split upon the path, right off the docks — which way will the current take us?" He looked to his Pokemon, curious for their answer. It was up to them as much as it was him, afterall. Normally, Arris would expect Belle in all of her bouncy sweet excitement to lead the charge… but for the first time since he'd gotten Belle four years ago, she did not accompany their little team. Evolution had brought a surprising seriousness to the Pokemon sweeter than a Combee's honey. She was still kind and happy — but more mindful. Protective. Less drawn to impulsively follow the scent of adventure without abandon the way her trainer was. And after Salve, she had opted to stay back in the room they were renting in the Sunhaven Pokemon Center, instead fretting over their new teammates.
Arris respected her wishes… but that didn't mean they weren't going to bring her and the rest of the team back tons of goodies!
Pepper looked down over the crow's nest of the boat to the egg nestled below, and then out into the fog. Left… right. Left… and then right. And then — fed up without a response from anyone, Skipper, puffing his chest up with a sharp inhale, pointed like a captain urging his ship on ahead. "Llllluuup!"
"Aye aye, sailor!" Arris laughed.
Left it was!

A Hedge Maze Appeared!
Taking the turn lead to a very quick dead-end, but it was not for nothing!
Sitting on a table surrounded with the fog was a cardboard cut-out of an egg sitting in a fake nest. Under it was a sign that said: "You found me! Take me to the end of the maze and exchange me for a real Pokemon Egg! (Background checks will be performed before eggs are handed out. All eggs supplied by the Mistveil Pokemon Laboratory). Take one and one only!"
Taking the egg would cause another one to rise up from under the table, taking its place. The camera that was watching this whole exchange was hidden up in the corner, ensuring someone didn't take more than they were allowed.
But now, that lead to a conundrum. Heading back to the entrance, the only choice was the original right. Now, after walking for a bit, a new choice was presented.
Go straight? Or turn left? What will you do?
Your Choices:
You have to turn back! At the original starting point you have to go to the right, which leads to two more choices: -Go Straight -Go Left

An egg! Or well, kind of — a soon to be egg! "Argh, how egg-citing," Arris chuckled. Both Pepper and Skipper slowly looked at him, unimpressed. He ignored them entirely in favor of adding the cutout to the hold of the ship, in a compartment adjacent to the real egg. Gains clapped his hands with a pleased cry — this was quite the treasure indeed! "Hey," Arris shrugged at the duo, breaking character for a moment. "At least this one isn't a disaster rescue. Or a tragedy. And our first little one can have a sibling. Right?"
Skipper shrugged after a moment, seeming to be willing to drop the topic as long as Arris didn't make another egg joke. Pepper beamed — the Pikachu was already fond of the original, rescued in the storm. He certainly wasn't going to turn down more! "Aye, mateys," Arris ruffled the Piplup's feathers, shaking his hand to rid his fingers of the few molting feathers that came up with the action. "There'll be no mutiny of me humor — on with ye, turn the rudder, pull the sails, about-face scallawags and we continue!"
The boat made a little beep-beep noise that was very non-piratey as Dexter reversed it to face the other way. Gains waited patiently for the boat, and Arris gave a thumbs up to the Rotom in the machine before the team continued back. Glancing to the right — …wasn't that where the entrance was? It didn't feel like they'd gone far, but… eh! That was how mazes worked! Now… straight or left?
Gains clicked his mandibles at Arris, and the captain nodded. "As ye say, First Mate — hold steady, lads, steady onward ahead!"

A Hedge Maze Appeared!
Going straight led to a new choice right away. The age old question in any good maze, one for the ages. One that would never grow old (not if this maze had anything to say about it, no sir!) yes, one of the best and most solid of decisions anyone ever had to make that was worth of any salt at all. And for these sailors, did they have what it takes?
Yes.... right? Or left!? That's right! The maze's branches seemed to move in laughter. Right or left you ol' sea dogs!? The sea was unforgiving this time of year and one would have to point the ship in the right direction. Will it lead them out of this maze or perhaps to more dead-ends that were totally, for sure, absolutely not all stocked with prizes.
Well? Full speed ahead, oh captain, my captain! What will you do?
