A Hedge Maze Appeared!
The thrill of the colorful bright lights, the decorations of ghost and ghouls and the smell of deep fried foods, candied apples, turkey legs, and boiled peanuts filled the chill air alongside the sounds of games, laughter, and followed by screams from the House of Horrors. What a time! What an event! How exciting! Solrock and Lunatone trilled welcome to all the guests as they floated around, surveying their wonderful park. Signs pointed to the various attractions, thrills, games, show venues, the works! But there was one place in particular that could be seen up on the hill, made on the largest and flattest part of the park's beautiful green expanse outside of its busy walkways. Imposing and inviting a challenge was the hedge maze. Eight feet tall, two feet thick, and as green as the leaves on a tree... but with the dark lights and fake lanterns that lit its outside and interior the leaves looked as dark the core of a gastly. In the night it truly was impressive. The line was long, but moving fast. Only five people were allowed in at once, and when one exited, another was allowed to take their place. This meant the entrance of new guests was staggered so the odds of someone interrupting your hedge maze time was very slim. The operator listened to their radio and let another person go... about fifteen minutes later, the line moved again. With ticket delivered to the attendant at the front and a quick run-down of the rules it was time to begin! At the very front of the maze was a large sign as well: Remember!
The Pokemon of Sol-Lune Park are friends, not enemies!

Oh, Halloween… the favorite time of year for one who preferred the darker months, the comfort of Gladegloom's eerie call, and the company of the spooky denizens that go bump in the night. 'Twas a beautiful time of revelry, mirth, and mischief. Music and thrills, frights and screams, joy and wicked delight. Farrah did so love this festival.
And so did her Pokemon! While some, like Decibel, had chosen to take a rain check, preferring to sleep or relax with an evening off after so much… everything, others had eagerly joined their trainer for a night of delight. Rhapsody was always happy to be present, the fur that usually fell over her eyes gently pinned back with one of Farrah's barrettes, exposing the little dragon's soft violet eyes to enjoy the sights as well as the sounds. Fermata too, had joined this time — the quiet Yamask had indeed met Farrah during one of these Halloween events, and was eager to take part and join in with the festivities once more. And then there was Reprise, the normally stoic Null — gentle and stern like an older sister with so much more to her that Farrah had barely broken the surface of. The spoons the Pokemon held so dear were safe at home under the watchful eye of Jazz and Andante lest they be damaged or lost at the park, and that seemed to suit Reprise just fine, who was following the group while seeming to keep a closer eye on Farrah herself than any of the laughter and screams surrounding them.
Or… perhaps, Farrah thought, it was less that Reprise was watching her, and more like, much like her new trainer, Reprise was keeping a watchful and careful eye on the egg that Farrah kept safe within an incubation case, tucked carefully into her bag. Neither musician nor chimera had expected to be the caretakers to the shelled surprise, but both had taken to it with a surprising intensity and fervor, Farrah especially finding herself becoming dreadfully attached to the mystery that laid within. But the egg was safe, the festivities and energies high, and there was an incredible sprawling hedge maze that Farrah, Fermata, and the others couldn't wait to explore! It was spooky. It was unnerving. It was beautiful. And it was, as their feet crossed the threshold into the entrance arch of the maze… very much their turn to have an adventure!

A Hedge Maze Appeared!
With ticket taken and spent, it was time for the maze to begin! The start of the maze had a presentation of three different ways to go. Right, left, and straight. All good choices in their own right, but it did make the beginning a bit tougher!
After all, in a maze, the goal was to get to the end, so one had to choose the correct turn every single time. On the other hand, mazes were meant to be fun! So that meant trying to make the choices that would bring the most enjoyment.
Oh, decisions, decisions! What will you do?

"Alright team, three paths — the beauty of a maze from the very get-go. The joy of it," Farrah said, glancing down at her teammates with a smile, "is the part about getting lost, enjoying every moment of that nighttime chill creeping in within an endless labyrinth… and the triumph, after a million turns, twists, and surprises, coming out the other side. So. Where shall we go?"
Some deliberation went down between Rhapsody and Fermata, the two Pokemon murmuring together as Reprise less took part, and more observed with a quiet amusement Farrah could feel without even being able to see the Null's face. She ran her fingertips gently along the bigger Pokemon's back, and felt the quiet shift as Reprise turned her head just a little to look sidelong at Farrah. The two were so alike in so many ways — stoic, generally quite quiet when left to themselves, and with so much put on either of their shoulders that they struggled to express. It was leading to their bonding, day by day, in their own unique way, with barely a word needing to be spoken.
They both looked down as Fermata and Rhapsody seemed to come to an agreement with a pair of little cheers; Fermata pointed onwards, and Rhapsody, delighted to finally see with any clarity, bounded forward, leaving Farrah and Reprise to follow.
To the right it was!

A Hedge Maze Appeared!
Taking a right turn revealed a little bit of a walk before another choices was presented to the maze goers. The path went straight ahead again, allowing them to continue on their original choices, or taking a sharp turn left which, by the looks of it, would quickly turn again with no other choice.
Now they were in the thick of it! Unless, of course, they wanted to go back and take the other path, but the choice was up to them!
Which way, which way... and what laid beyond each twist and turn? What will you do?

It was nice to simply watch the Pokemon having fun during a festive time. So much had been happening… Farrah genuinely could not remember, at this point, the last time that she'd been able to simply relax for more than five minutes since everyone had begun planning that disastrous Exhibition. She knew that it wasn't just her, either — her team was stressed. The fact that Decibel and Elegy had simply elected to stay home and sleep was more than understandable… and it made the little moments like these matter so much more. As the duo continued on ahead, Farrah made a silent promise to herself — to try to take it slower, for a while… to just let the team exist, free of stress and high on life.
"You can join them, you know," Farrah said to Reprise as they continued behind Rhapsody and Fermata, "You don't have to stay back with me and the egg." Reprise let out a low gruff that was answer enough, getting the human to chuckle as she and the Null continued to keep pace with one another without change. They both enjoyed watching; there was no need to alter what was already fun.
Rhapsody chirped at Farrah, pausing on the path to look back and see what was so funny. Seeing (seeing!) her trainer simply smile back, the dragon wriggled with delight. "Yes, I see you too, love! Where are we headed to next?" The Deino paused for a moment, and then looked up to the Yamask in question. Fermata also considered, before continuing to float down the path, ignoring the turn in favor of going straight for the moment.
With a laugh and a shared nod between the team, everyone continues dead ahead!

A Hedge Maze Appeared!
Dead end! But not without prizes. There was a basket on a table with a sign "take some candy!" Sadly, there were only two left which were bright blue with arrows on them. Probably blue raspberry flavored! But prizes none the less. Once the candy was taken, a little light went off indicating the basket needed to be refilled. Looked like that wasn't going to happen as long as they were around, though. The maze had to keep its mystery.
So thus came a rather tricky question. Left, left, or the other left? Wait, what!? That's right! Either going aaaaall the way back to go left, or taking the other left they missed, or taking the left right there next to them.
Wow! Lots of lefts, maze! What will you do?
Your Choices:
You found some candy! But oh no, dead end!
-Go back and take the original Left
-Go back and take the other Left (before taking this straight)
-Go to the Left
(So, if you take the first option, you return to the beginning of the maze and take the other option; if you take the second you take just one choice back; or the new choice :'D mazes! woohoo!!)
