Ashe and her trusty mimikyu, Lemondrop, walk up to the maze after waiting their turn. It's a clear night, and all of the decorations have both in high spirits.

"You ready to beat the maze, Lemondrop?" Ashe asks, walking closer to the entrance.

"chiiiiiirip" Lemondrop trills, zooming around her trainers ankles before dashing into the maze, taking the first right turn.

"I'll take that as a fuck yes. Wait up!" they yell, dashing after their pokemon. 

After a few turns, the fog from the maze sets in, and makes it harder for Ashe to follow Lemondrop. 

"Lemondrop, slow down. I can't see you for the fog!" she yells into the fog, stopping to gather her wits and hopefully call her mischievous pokemon back to her. "If you don't come back, no more pokesnacks for you for a whole day! Maybe even a week!"

"trillchirrup chirrrr" Lemondrop cries, jumping out of the fog to the left of Ashe, and causing her trainer to jump about 5 feet in the air. 

"Jumping Arceus on a cracker, don't do that! I almost peed," they say, holding their chest in fright. "Come on, let's see what is around this corner."

Choice: turn left


Ashe, after being spooked by their ever mischievous mimikyu, Lemondrop, takes the next left turn. The fog and low lights in the hedge maze make it extra spooky, an environment that both trainer and pokemon thrive in. 

"Ok, so I forgive you for almost making me have to leave the maze for a bathroom break. Now let's see if we can find some cool pokemon or treasure. I bet you there might even be a mimikyu boyfriend for youuuuuuu~" Ashe teases, knowing full well that Lemondrop is not interested in romance yet. 

Lemondrop, rising to the teasing, takes a small swipe at her trainer's ankles in retaliation. Tease her about boys or girls or other pokemon, and you'll get teased right back...in the ankle or knee! 

"Ok, ok! No more teasing. Let's see where this left turn takes us, then." Ashe huffs, pushing on through the fog and mist.

Choice: turn right


Ashe goes to grab the cardboard egg, but Lemondrop beats her to it. Where she keeps things, Ashe has no idea, but it'll do for now. Hopefully they'll be able to get it back with little fight, but who knows. Lately, Lemondrop has been in such a silly mood, so there is no telling. 

"You know you have to give that back at the end, right? So we can get the egg, and you can get a sibling." They ask the twirling mimikyu, turning to the right and walking down the path, trying not to trip on their rambunctious pokemon. 

"chirrr chirrup Trillllll. Trillup chirr" Lemondrop hum speaks, twirling and whirling around in the fog. This is their favorite atmosphere, just like when they were caught all those years ago, or so they were told. She doesn't mind much, as it was so long ago and time doesn't seem to pass the same in a pokeball. She likes her trainer, even though she is a little weird. But now is not the time for introspection, it's the time for adventure and solving this maze. Darting down the path, trying to find the exit before her trainer.

Choice: go straight


Following her twirling pokemon, Ashe goes straight, ignoring the right turn. She has a gut feeling that straight is the way to go, and will lead to more fun down the line. 

"Come on, Lemondrop, slow down. If you get to far ahead, someone might mistake you for one of the maze pokemon. Then you won't be able to sleep in your pile of stuffies," Ashe gently chides, hoping her stubborn little one will listen this time. "If you ever want to go to gyms, you gotta start listening a little better," they mutter, following behind the gently slowed Lemondrop. 

"chirr trillup chirr chirr. chirrup chirrrrr~" Lemondrop chirrs, trying to sing one of the old songs her trainer humms in the deep gloam. While they are not there, the atmosphere is very close to it. The fog and mist and happy energy from the other trainer teams makes it feel like home in a way that hasn't outside their forest house. She misses the High Mystery of it all, and she knows her trainer misses it too. But, back to sort of racing her trainer to the end...she will win and then demand (gently chirr and give the baby eyes) a new stuffie from the pile. 

Ashe, noticing the attempt at singing from Lemondrop, starts to hum one of the old songs for her. They know that if Lemondrop wins this makeship race, they are going to beg for a new plushie. She already factors that in to the amount she makes, knowing her mimikyu's stuffie filled sleep hammock will forever gain more. Fortunately, none of her other pokemon have that issue, or if they do they share with Lemondrop. Oh well, at least she knows that what she makes is relatively pokeproof.

Choice: Left turn

Ashe is eyeing the straight ahead path, contemplating just going straight, when Lemondrop takes the choice out of her hands. 
"CHIRRRRRRRRR!" Lemondrop cries, charging off to the left.
"Wait! If you get lost I don't know if I can find you, ya goob!" Ashe yells, taking off to the left and trying to catch up to the mimikyu skittering full tilt down the path. As she starts to gain ground, Ashe trips over something in the dark, tumbling to the ground in a (very dignified if you ask them) heap of bag and person and...pokemon? 
"Lemondrop, why did you stop so suddenly? Are you ok?" the trainer grumbles to her wayward pokemon, checking her over and making sure their outer cloth didn't rip. After making sure they were ok, and getting back to their feet, both trainer and pokemon continued down the left path, hoping for more adventure.
