a message from the Pokemon Laboratory:
Welcome to Pokemon Rapture's 2020 Halloween event! For this event, your trainer and Pokemon will be dressing up and trick or treating in a maze the Lab has set up!
To sign up, just note your interest below or ping Bees in the #contact-staff channel on the Discord. Be sure to let me know which character you're signing up for, too -- you can participate with both your characters. And, for fun, tell me what Halloween costumes your trainer and Pokemon are wearing!
I'll then set you up with your Trick-or-Treat thread, where you and up to three of your Pokemon will navigate the maze. (This event contains no battles or stat-based challenges and there's no advantage to bringing multiple Pokemon, so if any of yours aren't feeling the spooky spirit, feel free to leave them at home.)
Note: Each character will get a different randomly-generated maze, to make sure that there's no advantage to having multiple characters in the maze or to peeking at each other's threads.
Do bring some empty Pokeballs, though, because there's a chance that some spooky Pokemon may have wandered into the maze, and while there's no space in there for battling, there's no harm in throwing a Pokeball or two. (In other words, there will be Pokemon encounters, but you must attempt an out-of-battle capture!)
Each participant will receive one Rare Candy and 30 EXP for participating, and as you navigate the maze, you may find more candies of the types shown below. But think carefully about how you want to search -- the participant who gets through the maze in the fewest posts will receive a Leftovers.
Leftovers: The holder restores 10% of its maximum HP each turn. 150 EXP.
Sign-ups are open until October 31, 2020. Your Trick-or-Treat threads must be completed by November 10, 2020 or your character will be marked as failing to finish the maze -- you'll still get the Rare Candy and any candies you found inside the maze, but you won't have a chance at the Leftovers.
The candies you'll find in the maze are currently event-exclusive items and come in the following types:
Be sure to write any candy you earn down on your tracker until you choose to use it!

Happy Halloween!
a message from the Pokemon Laboratory:
To celebrate the Deprin Region's first Halloween with Pokemon in decades, the Laboratory has put together a trick-or-treat event at our Mistveil facility. Trainers and their Pokemon are invited to come in costume and search our a-maze-ing setup for candy! The trainer who gets through the maze the quickest will win a special prize.
