Things... had happened. The explosion had hit the news but things had been so busy with the League and then... and then... Her phone had been blowing up with messages until the ship got out of the service range. Takara was clearly worried about this, especially given what had happened at the exhibition match. But Salve Island had never opened to the public before so why wouldn't someone go? Besides, a special care package had been packed just for Farrah. A snack in case she got hungry and some pokemon food, some water, a flashlight with extra batteries... but the stormy seas didn't seem to care about the little bit of care. Each wave that crashed against the ship was a reminder of just why no one was able to reach this island with pokemon. And there were answers to uncover, weren't there? Why it exploded, why the news said there was one survivor, and what the hell had been going on with that island? What was Salve Co. up to there? Why open it now? There had to be answers among the island... and pokemon, apparently. Rumors of rare pokemon. The ship came to dock and the rules clear: three-hours and the ship was leaving, battling and capturing was allowed but no harm was to be done to the pokemon on the island... and a special note scribbling in familiar handwriting. Rather sharp but smooth letters: Please be careful - Tara.A Wild Pokemon Appeared!

Decibel curled up against her leg, Farrah spent most of the time on the ship until her phone's service shut out smiling quietly at the device, sending back texts, reassurances, and little bouts of affection. Takara is such a sweetheart. He really is - the amount of care means a lot to the League leader, especially after everything had happened. It was nice to feel so cared about. So... so--
A rock of the boat shakes her out of her thoughts, and Decibel pushes a little harder against her leg. She presses a shaky hand into his fur, soothing it out. The Linoone has been her anchor since he evolved to save her life. That had been the greatest reassurance she could offer Tara - Dec is here, with a shared photo of the napping pokemon, I promise he'll keep us safe. He is such a good boy, rarely leaving her side for more than a moment. Most of them are like that now. Something to be said, about bonding through tragedy. Especially, Farrah supposes, looking down at herself - at the bandages peeking from under her coat, at the feeling of the cast covering her left arm of a new injury and a second hospital trip from very recently - since she is still recovering.
She hasn't had a chance to tell Tara about that one, yet. Really, they have every right to worry.
The ship docks, and Farrah tarries a few moments before disembarking. She takes a moment to call out Andante. The Golett warbles softly at her, and she smiles at them before leaning into the Pokemon's outstretched arm. They've been invaluable in helping her get around while she recovers - nobody is more stable, and she appreciates the extra support.
The rockstar turned League Coordinator looks down at the note one last time, her eyes roving over every inch of Tara's handwriting. She holds it close to her chest, fond in a moment of vulnerability, before tucking it away, safe from the storm outside. One more check for the care package, a retrieval of the flashlight, and the trio is off. It takes a moment to maneuver Farrah onto the beach, but it's manageable, and she's all smiles and friendliness until the ship is a speck far along the beach. As soon as it's just her and her Pokemon, the smile falls away, and she calls out Rhapsody. The Deino's grown a bit since Farrah caught her, and the little dragon stretches and croons before taking point, almost on instinct now; no words needed. Decibel falls in close to her side, and Farrah - supported by Andante's solid presence - points the flashlight ahead: a beam of light, illuminating the dark (and isn't that just her Tara?) - ah. Right. Business.
"Alright, Salve. I've got a lot of questions, and this island's got a lot of answers. So you best hope you hid that evidence well, or I will find out about what fucked up things you've been doing out here. Gonna find out anyway. And if whatever that explosion was didn't put a stop to it, Yveltal help me, but I will. Lead on, Rhapsody. Let's find out what these bastards were doing. And what they needed these Pokemon for."
OOC: Rhapsody (Deino) is the active Pokemon!

Night || Storm It was... quiet. Sometimes a boat would come with a single person that would leave it, going back to the boat and they would depart hardly any time later. This had happened a handful of times now, and they had witnessed each arrival and departure from the shadows, following people around... but that one had come by first. The memories were still fresh. The violence that had followed freedom. Freedom followed by what some would call a disaster, but it was a real turning point for a lot of them. They didn't have to go back. No one would hurt them again. That was the promise. The original rush of joy had since faded to a gentle knowledge that this was life now. No one coming by and tying them down, stabbing them with all sorts of needles, sewing new bits and pieces in. All they had to worry about now was living this life. And part of that came curiosity about the world. What was beyond these sands? They had understood they could not have left with that one, as explained by the tall blue dog. But others would come by. Gentle people. Kind people. Or, at least, that was the hope. So here they were, sitting on the beach.. They had seen the boat approaching from the top of the destroyed lab and had trotted their way down here. But now they weren't so sure... looking out at the waves. What if the world out there was just as bad as life was here? Out there was an unknown. Out there was unthinkable. It was scary to think about. Whereas they knew the trees and the shrubs and the danger on this island from creatures even stranger then her. Out there, past those stormy waves, what was there? The light that hit the strange form would maybe mistake the odd stillness and the wooden mask for driftwood, tossed and turned by the waves. There was no movement, not even that of a breath. But as the human and her pokemon got closer, the helmet of this creature shifted, bright eyes reflecting the light like two large lights, flashing in the darkness. The form now obviously not something akin to driftwood, but something very much alive and very alien. Something that no pokedex could even register. Something brand new to the world.
