Jessica has always been a shy, anxious person. Despite being known as a hard-worker and loyal to a fault, it's mostly due to a severe fear of disappointment and failure. On top of all of it, she just so happens to be a little bit pokephobic! It's an unreasonable fear, just a sudden welling up of anxiety when near the creatures that had suddenly come back to the region just four and a half years ago! Amazingly, she gets along with a few pokemon, specifically her boss' most well-trained ones!
History Jessica's history very simple. She has two loving, aging parents she visits regularly and she got a bachelors degree in literature (working as a grocery clerk during her degree) and then got an amazing unpaid internship at Salve Co. from a hat drawing! She found herself working as the social media assistant. It was very hard work, but it at least gave her lots of great experience for her resume! That was, until the old CEO retired and a new one was appointed. Dr. Takara Wilton. Jessica had become good friends with Takara while they worked at Salve Co., steadily rising through the ranks. Right after Takara's promotion, Jess found herself with a much larger desk, a kinder schedule, and a massive pay check filled with bonuses to make up for all the hours she worked unpaid. Oh, and she was Dr. Wilton's personal assistant! It was quite the shift. She was even encouraged to work on her own hobbies at the desk when it was slow in the office, so her novel is coming along great now! There was just one problem... even when pokemon returned and everyone was getting one, Jess didn't. She was very hesitant about it. Some of the people she went to college with were also hesitant or even downright against pokemon returning to the region. It was a conflicting time. Sure, it was exciting for some people, but... on the other hand... Well, Jess had decided to never get a pokemon until Takara came by and told her to finish up her work... because she was taking a six month vacation to go off and get a pokemon. Sure, Takara had helped Jess with some of her pokephobia with their own pokemon, but one of her own!? That was ridiculous! But, they were adamant. Jess had to at least go to the lab and try to get a pokemon. If it didn't work out Takara would take care of them for her but... well... Jess really didn't want to fail at being a pokemon parent? A poke-parent? A... trainer? Huh... Anyway, that was that. There was no use arguing with Takara. If the board couldn't win an argument with them, there was no way in the Distortion World Jess would.
Appearance Jess always wears something that is yellow or orange on her person, in conjunction with her yellow glasses. Outside of her business attire she's either in a dress, skirt, or baggy sweatpants with one of her lounge T-shirts. When her hair is down, it falls in large curls down to her mid-back. Although, Takara and Farrah have been helping her find a 'trainer outfit'. She has a pencil stuck through her bun and small, blue earrings. She wears yellow glasses with transparent yellow lenses. She has a shocked expression on her face as papers go everywhere out of her file. She has a pokeball as a necklace around her neck. Her face is covered in freckles and her long nails are painted yellow. |
