Daytime | Weather:Clear | Self-Moderated Encounter Location: Gladegloom Forest, Shady Bower Items : Pokeballs, No Repels It surprised Diell that he'd never made his way to this beautiful forest after pokemon had come back. He supposed he'd been busy, but life had been good, for a while! Between Thor learning how to be a thief, and his other pokemon, he was less hungry than he'd been in a while. Mix that with the plethora of food opportunities now, and hell! Maybe he could get himself an actual place to live besides just drifting. Or better yet, he could get a job! That'd be a miracle if he'd ever seen one.
But the tall trees created a nice cool canopy for him to stroll under. At his side was his little rockruff, who happily trotted along besides him. A little ahead, but otherwise besides him. Her tongue was out, and she woofed every so often as he kept behind her. "Diana, baby girl, patience. We're just taking a leisurely stroll, no need to rush." He mused softly. At his shoulder was his abra, who floated a little closer to their trainer. It was a little dark, and he wasn't sure about the Rockruff's energy just yet, but he had found himself happily attached to Di. The man was... while not always honest, a good person and he could tell.
"Isn't it beautiful here, you guys? Crazy to think how dangerous it'll be further in." he mused. The abra seemed unimpressed, but just floated along besides his trainer. Really Di? Really? Way to be reassuring. "It's fine, Ra, really. If anything happens, I have Aquilla in her ball. And we'll leave if it gets really dangerous, okay?"
"Braaaa"
"Right! For now, we'll enjoy a beautiful stroll." He mused, jumping over one of the logs. The bower really was gorgeous, the dappled light filtering down onto the forest floor. Detritus softening each step, as Diana played with each leaf that caught her attention. This was so Fun!!! "Don't go too fast, sweetheart!" He called forward, idly adjusting his bag. Tucked neatly in warm blankets was the egg he'd ah... ahem obtained from someone. In his defense, they'd been sketchy! And they looked better with a black eye that matched the sweet little meowth that had hidden behind their leg. Especially after he'd reported them anonymously for pokemon abuse.
But well, he'd keep it safer anyways. Only way to be sure was to keep it safe until it hatched. And take care of it. Too many people were too cruel, these days.

As they wandered through, enjoying the peace and quiet, it was disrupted by a loud yip. Diana had stumbled, as she was want to do with her too-big feetsies, and rolled right into a little Fomantis. The grass-type jolted away, blinking away the sleep as their leaves folded in tight. What- What! What was that!? Its eyes locked onto the rockruff, who whined in soft apology.
It wasn't enough, and the little one rushed forward with a loud angry cry, using its leaves as cutting blades. Diana yelped louder, as Diell rushed forward to check on her. "Hey! Hey, it's okay, Diana. I'm here now. Just tackle it so you can come hide behind me, baby-girl." He instructed calmly. The poor Fomantis was just startled, after all, but he couldn't risk little Diana being hurt too badly by a grumpy pokemon.
She whined, but charged forward and bonked her head into the little grass-type. She didn't wanna fight though! She would, but... she'd much rather he protect her instead. The Fomantis recoiled at the attack, and Diana ran back to her trainer with a needy whimper. Dad, she'd gotten hurt. He was quick to push her behind his leg. "It's okay, baby. I've got you." He reassured, as he rolled a pokeball forward. If he was lucky, he'd catch it. but he wasn't particularly upset either way. If he wasn't lucky, it'd scare the little one off long enough for him to take care of his pokemon. Either way, he should be fine. She'd be fine too, she was just still a fussy little baby.

Quite honestly, the little grass-type was too startled to fight back when it was sucked into the ball. Oh... Oh the danger was gone... it was dark... and warm, and cozy... This was... a nice place to sleep, then. When it clicked closed, the man was startled to be sure. But then smiled. "See, Diana, baby girl. It's okay. See, it's not so dangerous." He went over and picked up the ball, offering it to her to sniff. "Let's get you bandaged up, okay?"
Diell sat down where he was, and the rockruff jumped up into his lap. Ever so gently, he applied a potion and laid bandages over them. It was overkill, sure, but he loved her. And she was sweet. So anything to make her feel better. Only once he was done, did he give her lots of pats and pets. Kissed her forehead. "Better, sweetness? Alright, let's go. Ra, could you lead the way?"
"Aaaaa.... braaa" The psychic type floated out ahead, leading the other two along. It got darker and darker the deeper and deeper they got. Until the sun no longer shone, and the only light was when Ra used sunny day to create a little bubble for them to walk in together.
"Thank you, Ra." Diell praised, offering the Abra a treat. Which he floated over to himself and began to nibble on. He'd found himself very fond of the cookies that Thor liked, which was rather fortunate. They were cheap, easy to get, and Diell had a soft spot for all of his pokemon. Including this new pokemon, who he was researching on his pokedex. "Okay... sunlight... it likes to sleep during the day. Don't disturb it's naps... well, Diana, that'd probably be why you got attacked, sweet thing." He mused aloud, not paying attention to where he was walking...

Thankfully, Ra was paying attention to where they were going. And when his trainer almost tripped, he was quick to correct him. Held him upright, very gently. "Oh! Thank you, Ra." He reached out and gave the little guy a pat between his ears. "and thank you for the light. I don't know if we'd be able to see, otherwise." He admitted. Turning to continue forward... before well, he noticed the small little white and green and yellow pokemon riding atop its flower.
He sat in mild surprise as she floated closer to the light. She hadn't been in such bright light for most of her life, being born so deep in Gladegloom. It was so pretty. So she was quick to float up to Ra, circling him once. Twice. Only then noticing the human with a squeak of fear, hiding behind her flower. "Hello little one. Look at how adorable you are. It's okay, you can say hi to Ra. He's super sweet, isn't that right bud?"
"Aaaaaabra" The psychic type really didn't have strong feelings one way or another. But the little fairy seemed to like it. Diana, forgetting her temporary pain, darted up and reared on her back legs to see it. SPooking the little thing into floating away a bit, whining nervously.
"Diana, here." Diell ordered quickly. "You're gonna spook it." He scolded, scooping his puppy up. Ever so slowly, the little fairy approached closer to Ra again, settling in the nice warm sunlight that emanated from him. "Hi, sweetheart. Hi little one." he stepped carefully up. Gently offered his hand for her to land on, which was only taken after a long minute of silence. "Aren't you the most precious thing I've seen? Hi. Do you like Ra? Or, do you want a snack?" When offered the sugary treat, she quickly took it and nibbled on it. Sat down on her flower and looked up at the human.
"Do you want to see more sunlight, sweet thing? I'd keep you safe if you went with. Promise." He offered, holding up the ball for her to take if she wanted, "You'd just click this button right here."

The little Flabebe looked between the ball, Ra, and Diell. He seemed nice, and he'd given her a cookie! And this Abra was so warm. She floated a little closer to Ra and nestled against his chest a moment. But... She had to check with mama first. Mom wouldn't be happy if she ran off without telling her. So sadly, she shook her tiny head and floated off for now. Maybe, if she caught him before he left, she'd go with. Maybe.
Diell smiled sadly, then sighed. "I guess not, for now." Finally, Diana was put down. "I guess let's keep moving. There's supposed to be this ruin deep in the woods. That's where we're headed." He murmured, idly taking Ra's hand when it was outstretched for him to take. "I figure we can take a look around, maybe relax for a bit before we head back out. What do you guys think?"
"Braaaaa"
"Ruff!!" Diana's tail was wagging as the abra started floating again, further forward. Until they reached the mossy structures. Diana slowed to be right behind her trainer as they stepped up through the ruins. Diell stopped before the dias, taking in a deep breath.
"That's strange. Why are the candles still lit...?" he mused aloud to himself, tilting his head. Mirrored by his pokemon. But he just... sat down on the floor, patting his lap. "Well... I suppose it's as good a time as any to relax. Ra, why don't you take a nap buddy. I'll wake you up when it's time to go." Ra floated over and settled next to his trainer, just going quiet and still. Alright. Time to rest, then. Time to nap.
