"Nah, I get that. Once in a while I get so into what I'm writin' or playin' I don't even notice I've been bein' called until my phone's gone off four or five times. As long as you don't mind an errant message in the witching hours once in a while when I'm up n' forget that other people usually uh... aren't." It was an awful habit. Alfie had gotten used to it over the years she and Farrah had worked together, but they sure got an earful every time they finally picked up the phone after few too many texts and voicemails broke concentration. But then of course Farrah would put their phone on silent, and next thing they knew it was three days later and they had twenty minutes to be at the recording studio because they never checked their phone. But... Takara was cute, so maybe Farrah would keep their phone volume on max. Just in case.
Takara's laughter absolutely melted Farrah's heart. Oh no, just like everything about them so far it was utterly charming and heartwarming. They found themselves chuckling along right up until Takara kissed them on the forehead, when their brain entirely shut off. Oh. Ohhh. Farrah blinked up at them in flustered surprise, and the blush which had only just been fading raged right back into life. There wasn't a single thought in the musician's head aside from 'oh no, they're going to be dangerously sweet,' and the sound of internal pleased but embarrassed screaming. "Hm...? Mmm! Oh, yes. Muffins. Um." They averted their gaze with a shy little laugh. "You're right, they are hard to make sweet - but muffins are flavorful in all sorts of variety so..."
Decibel shifted around on the bench, kicking his feet up at the pat. Aww, thanks. He enjoyed being silly, and enjoyed Shri's company too! He knew that Farrah was important and keeping them happy and healthy was too - but as the saying went, all work and no play made for an incredibly dull Pokemon. Not meant in a bad way... Farrah seemed to think it meant if you gave yourself no time to relax, you were more liable to burn out bad and feel even less productive and happy. Rolling around for a minute before finally settling back on his stomach with a contented huff, he looked up towards Shri. It was why he and Farrah wandered around so much. They worked well in places like this, where they were out in different settings. Productive but relaxed, able to work with the flow. It was a nice way to live! And having fun? Playing? Life was way too short not to!

Plant Your Hope With Good Seeds Takara smiled. They already had some fun thoughts for what to potentially do for Saturday but until then there was still a lot that had to be done during the week. Work, meetings... ugh. It was going to be just horrible. But, at least there was something to look forward to! They honestly couldn't wait but... "Well, I suppose I'll see you then?" they asked, a bit of a chuckle following. Arceus, they were pretty awkward in these sort of situations. But! That was alright, it didn't seem like any of that really affected either of them."But, um, yeah feel free to message me and I'll message you." Usually, goodbyes sort of went in the way of Takara trying to rush back into a building or into a car before reporters could tackle them. There wasn't really much in the way of... actually saying bye? They didn't want to leave or stop talking but it was getting very late and plus Takara did have work in the morning. Not that that had ever stopped them from having a very busy night before but... still. They were fairly certain they'd have questions about their whereabouts from each and ever assistant. Ugh. That would be fun.
Shri nodded as Decibel spoke and explained the situation. She had to agree, but getting Takara to go anywhere out of the office was a struggle. The only reason they were even here was because they had to drop off pokemon to the laboratory. Then going to the library was just to escape from assistants sent after them. If anything, it seemed kinda like luck they even got to meet at all, not that she was complaining! But it did mean that getting Takara to even rest was hard. But she was bent on trying anyway. Maybe she could take a few notes from Dec's book.

"Yes, you will. Absolutely," Farrah said. They smiled too, before shifting their hands from Takara's chest up to their shoulders, squeezing gently, and finally stepping back. It immediately felt... colder, somehow, without the warmth of their touch, but alas. Farrah was only just getting to know Takara, afterall. There would be more than enough time in the future if things went well. They wrapped their arms around themselves loosely - looking less cold or awkward, and more comfortably at ease in the mild night air. "I'll be sure to message you at some point." They chuckled, looking over to their two Pokemon. "Especially with photos of the lil' rascal and his antics."
The musician rolled their shoulders and bit back a small yawn. This had been an absolutely lovely conversation and meeting as a whole. But all the same, good things had to come to a close. It was starting to get into the late hours. And while Takara had work, Farrah - oh, well. No, they did have a meeting with their assistant, and then they needed to be in the studio... maybe being out this late hadn't been a great idea. Oh well! It had been absolutely more than worth it; if they hadn't met Takara they knew they'd still be in the library 'til morning. And Farrah knew which outcome was absolutely preferable. They whistled to get Decibel's attention, before picking up the empty containers from dinner to recycle. "Alright Dec, up n' at em, boy." Farrah took a few steps towards the exit to the terrace, before looking back towards Takara and humming appreciatively. "Hey, you have a good night and be safe, y'hear? This has been a really lovely evenin'. I look forward to seein' you this weekend."
Decibel nodded as he listened, scratching his ear. Ahh, that was quite the fortune then for the coincidence! Business leading to a meeting like that? Maybe some things were just meant to be or worked out the right way afterall. The Zigzagoon sure believed in destiny. His thoughts cut off before he could explain that further though when he heard his trainer's whistle. Oh! He was being called. He stood up and shook himself off thoroughly before nudging Shri's shoulder with his head. It was nice meeting her! And he knew they'd see each other soon. As he leapt off the bench and trotted to his trainer's side, he looked back too with a wink towards the Riolu. Like he said: Destiny.

Plant Your Hope With Good Seeds "Um, yeah! You, too! I'll text you tomorrow, and I can't wait till Saturday," Takara said, smiling at Farrah as they got ready to leave. Shri also said goodbye to Decibel, giving him a little head pat in return for the shoulder bump. She waved at them as they departed and then looked at Takara. They sat down on the bench with a sigh and gave a soft smile to Shri."I have a nagging feeling you had something to do with all that," they said. Shri just looked up at them and shrugged, giving a soft "Riii" in response. They chuckled. "They're amazing, like really... amazing. It's so nice to actually meet someone that thinks similarly... plus they're cute." Shri blew a raspberry. Takara seemed to be in control of their emotions again but she could feel the anxiousness about this weekend bubbling up in them. It was a good anxious, but anxiety nonetheless. Still, she saw Takara's small smile as they stared at where Farrah had gone, and that sense of longing to see them again. Shri had to admit herself, she already missed Decibel's company. But soon. Saturday wasn't too far away. They'd all be reunited soon. Takara shook their head and stood up, dusting off their pants. "Well, let's get home, I gotta plan a date." They smiled, eyes brimming with absolute joy. Shri smiled back and jumped down from the bench. It was nice seeing Takara smile. She looked forward to seeing more of it and feeling this joy.

It felt weirdly quiet on the road now that it was just themself and Decibel again. There was a little part of Farrah that just wanted to turn and run right back - but alas! There was plenty of time. Farrah could plan what to wear, what to bring... maybe they'd have Decibel get groomed and gussied up himself. They glanced down at the Zigzagoon who was nearly prancing at their side. ...What was he so happy about?
"Hey, Dec. You're a conspirin' little monster, you know that? Don't think I didn't feel your head against my legs, kid." The raccoon-dog paused mid step for a moment, looking up at his trainer. Uh-oh. Caught! He saw a strange glint in his trainer's eye, and felt the urge to sprint. And so sprint he did, taking off in his namesake movement down the street at full tilt. Farrah shook their head. "I was gonna say thank you, you little shit. This just... heh! I have a date. I have a date! With a really, really cute person who actually has a brain with the looks! And amazing ideas and - oh my gods I can't believe it."
Their excited freakout was going to have to wait though. Decibel was beginning to turn into a speck of black and white a block away. Laughing, Farrah picked up the pace to catch up, yelling after their Pokemon. They were so excited for the weekend. It was going to be just... oh what a time. Getting to actually see this lovely person again, in an actual setting where they could... hah! But before anything, they had to meet the pace with their Pokemon and give the little git a good ol' fashioned ear-rub for it all.
"Decibel!! Wait up you lil' hooligan!"
