| Character Creation Guidelines and Review Request |

| Please review the Rules and Regulations (specifically part III) and Character Guidelines before creating a character. If you have any questions, please reach out to staff. I. Character Creation Guidelines Overview- Currently, all new characters have to be new trainers. They must receive a starter after acceptance. They cannot be in any threads outsider their starter thread without a pokémon.
- All characters must be at least 18 years old.
- Characters cannot have special abilities at this time that go beyond human capabilities (being able to understand pokémon as they would a person talking, levitating objects. etc.)
- Characters can be from outside Deprin; however, they do not arrive by plane or boat unless its in an accident. Trainers from other regions are just appearing randomly in the region: sometimes falling out of the sky or just popping into existence. They can keep one pokémon from their previous team but it is reverted to level 1 and all evolutions are reversed. If you want to have your trainer find their old team you can work with staff! Please expect amnesia situations as you have to successfully catch the pokémon first.
II. How to Create a Character- Create a character account using your character's name (either first, last, or both). Please do not post the application with your OOC account.
- Title your character application thread "Character Name | OOC Account Name".
- There is a character application template at the bottom of this thread. If you choose not to use the template, ensure the following information is in your application: name, age, pronouns (and/or gender if you like), hometown, their personality, history, a description of what they look like (an image is optional), and what type of starter encounter you want (a rolled roleplay encounter, rolled non-rp encounter, or inheritance. If inheritance, remember to inform us what starter you want as long as it's not banned).
- Rolled No RP and Inheritance will mean staff gives you the pokémon's stat block in your character application thread. In rolled rps it will be within the roleplay thread.
- Because we do not utilize face claims, there is no face claim thread.
- When you are ready for your character to be reviewed, reply to this thread and staff will get to you as soon as they are able.
III. After Acceptance- Create a tracker and ensure you review the Tracker and PC Guidelines. You can do this if you are waiting on a starter thread to be made.
- Create a plotter if you so choose so people can plot with your character!
- Join our Discord! This is where a majority of the site chats and we also tag each other in posts.

You can either do bullet points or paragraph form. If you decide to utilize lists, please try to keep things long enough so that the template reaches it's full extension. Too short and it won't.
You don't have to give a full overview of your character's personality, just the general basics so staff can get a feel for who they are. More information can always go into your character tracker.

This is a general overview of your character's history, such as which town they are from, anything interesting about their family, their reasons for getting/finding a pokemon, etc. Please ensure to follow our rule that all characters at this moment have to be native to Deprin (unless you wanted to play an 80 year old or older character that was around before the Rapture).

Quick edit needed!! Broadmarsh itself is unlivable and too dangerous for any buildings due to the swamp that has taken over and making the land too soft a few years after the Rapture occured; however, your character could be settled on the outskirts of Broadmarsh, not quite at the swamp itself and still on solid ground for a home that won't sink for at least a few decades. (Likewise, away from the other cities and people, too! Just like Broadmarsh currently is!) If this is amendable to your character, please edit the application and let me know! If not, we can brainstorm together! |
